    I LOVE episode #21. What a fabulous video Jeff, you make it all so clear and inspiring to keep up the practises. I’ve been working with the panting and exercise and it’s been fabulous for me in helping me connect more deeply with the depths of my breathing. And then my voice has felt so much more supported. Thank you for your generosity in sharing so much. And the clarity of the video is brilliant, you are so multi-talented! Thank you for all the time and energy you’ve put into this episode to make it so visually pleasing and well thought out. Every aspect of this lesson helps me to keeps my voice soaring ... and I’m so grateful, Georgia

    When you do it for us to sing on our own and you play the piano notes, you're not leaving enough time for the pant!

    • @JeffAlaniStanfill
      @JeffAlaniStanfill  6 років тому +2

      Practice a few times without the piano and then see if you can speed up your pant. Pause the video and look at the musical description and see if you can do it just by looking at the notes. This is not only a great breathing exercise but a note accuracy exercise. It actually works better if you get a slightly faster pant. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching and stay tuned and subscribed for all the latest updates! :-)

      You really are WAY faster when you play the notes for us to sing alone. Nearly impossible.

      @@wandajames143 yep. counted four counts left whilst he sang, but only 3 for us. XD imagine a newbie doing better than an expert right off the bat. Great concept, just gotta use your own piano to do it properly.

      Thank goodness someone else noticed.
      When Jeff did it we got
      3 pants ,on our own I cut it down and managed 2
      pants .Which sounds a bit daft but I think you know what I mean but a good video really felt my abs.

    I was taught a similar exercise using Mee, Meh, Mah, Moh, Moo. I used to laugh because I sounded like a cow on the "Moo". My panting exercise was to do just "Ha" consistently for at least a minute - ala "Panting Dog" from Yoga. Great stuff to loosen a stiff core section.

    Dear Jeff.
    I feel the pant more in my solar plexus area than lower abdominals. Is that right? I only recently discovered your fantastic wonderful tutorials. I am a professional opera singer from South Africa 😊
    Thank you so much

    • @JeffAlaniStanfill
      @JeffAlaniStanfill  6 років тому

      Hi Karine. Try placing your hands on your lower abdominals and point your hands straight down. This will focus the energy lower and away from the rib-cage and solar plexus. If you're solar plexus is free and not locked, and you still feel movement there, then that is a good thing. We never want to lock the solar plexus. I hope that helps. Thanks so much watching. Be sure to subscribe, if you haven't already, for all the latest updates and news. Peace and happy singing! Jeff

    Really good but when we did the exercise with you I could get 3 breaths in then only 2 when we did it on our own.I think you were speeding up a little on the piano but still very good video.

    You are back Jeff- excellent! Missed you! I am finding it hard to pant. Should my stomach come in, or should it go out during my exhale on the pant please? Thanks, Colin.

    • @JeffAlaniStanfill
      @JeffAlaniStanfill  6 років тому +1

      Colin I think I explained the pant very clearly here but just as you seem unclear about it, the pant will automatically allow the belly to come in one the exhale and slightly out for the inhale. It is a very fast movement. Go to the section where I demonstrate the pant and watch it several times. Thanks for all your wonderful comments!

    are we supposed to inhale and exhale or only exhale ( strong inhale at the start) in between breh brah etc..

    • @JeffAlaniStanfill
      @JeffAlaniStanfill  5 років тому

      Hi there. The pant is always in and out, in and out with the breath between the consonant vowel. I know it's a little tricky at first and if you need to slow it down to accomplish this, simply do it with out me. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! Peace, Jeff

    Hi Jeff. I don't have enough daily time to do the Let Your Voice soar. Is it permissible to cut it in half and do that daily please? Or would you prefer I stick to full program less frequently. I realistically have 30mins per day with time for longer sessions maybe twice per week. Thanks for any advice! Thanks Colin.

    • @JeffAlaniStanfill
      @JeffAlaniStanfill  6 років тому

      Hey Colin. If you only have 30 minutes a day to practice, I recommend focusing on different concepts everyday from the program. One day you might want to work on the cuperto and range building exercises. The next day focus on flexibility exercises. You certainly do not have to do the whole program everyday, but be sure to through song/repertory work in your practice sessions as well! Happy singing!
