A great introductory video! I am a graduate student specializing in ecofeminism and just lead my own research team on interdisciplinary approaches in the field :) You've done a great job with this; I really appreciate you emphasizing the inherent intersectionality in contemporary ecofeminist conversations.

Thank you so much! I love that there is a specific branch and studies ongoing for ecofeminism. It is so important for people to make the links between feminism and nature and how it can reflect policies, etc. I'm always learning from experts like you!!!

I learned the term ecofeminism from studying the life of artist Leonora Carrington. This video was an excellent introduction to the history and current advocates. Thanks so much.

Thank you for this! Another term I've heard that I'd love to learn more about is ecocentrism :)

Fantastic! One more time for the people in the back. Men need to step up and become ecofeminist too. Both sexes can become caretakers and good stewards of the land, its not a one-side fixes it solution. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the video, but I have a critique. As important figures you mentioned only Vandana Shiva and your mum - what about others? And also, why lesbians are always left out. Intentionally? While you mention non binary people and femme folks often. But I think lesbians play important role in the foundation of ecofeminism as well. How can you not mention Aundre Lorde here?

Hi! Thanks for providing this and I agree that principles of feminism have come from Black women / WOC / lesbians, queer, + gender expansive / identifying folks. This was more of an introduction to get people to learn more about ecofeminism theory to explore not just the ecological component but theories of feminism and its foundation. Unfortunately my view from this video was to provide more a general overview and highlight some figures because these are for introductions for people who know nothing about the subject. It’s important that we take these videos as only a supplement and not the end all be all education 🙏🏽

As a Black biologically natural-born woman, I absolutely reject and have issue with the over and mis-use of "toxic masculinity" as a blanket indictment of manhood, men and "maleness". Not all men, aspects of manhood and "manliness" is toxic especially when referring to/targeting Black men. Just sayin...

I'm curious at the claim that women are not perceived to be at the front of environmentalism. You say that men 'take up a lot of space' in the movement, taking credit for environmental activism that were based on women's labor, or something like that. My sense is that environmentalism is seen as a 'feminine' movement in many ways. Not that this is authoratative, but when I asked ChatGPT the top ten most influential environmentalists alive today, 7 of the 10 were women. Can you say more what you've seen that makes you say men are perceived at the front of the movement? My sense is we need to support more men in getting involved in the movement.

Have you seen the majority of leaders at climate conferences? It’s generally men. Look at COP 26,27,28
