I realized the many similarities between the Blood Angels and World Eaters however the differences were more prominent when the Heresy began. Where as the Blood Angels controlled their bloodthirst, the World Eaters were consumed by their own.
Angron and Sanguinius were designed to be the controlling factors for their legions. Sanguinius worked perfectly, his nobility made a paragon of his legion. Angron was ruined by the nails. Where Sanguinius was noble to an incredible degree Angron had empathy in equal measure. If not for the nails then the World Eaters would have been friendlier than the Salamanders to the same degree that the Blood Angels were more virtuous than the Emperor's Children. Please note that I do not intend to disrespect Vulkan or the Salamanders. They are the only legion other than the Blood Angels who's mention will always put a smile on my face.
Angron was, tragically, ruined by the nails indeed. Even a greater tragedy given the intentions of the Emperor's creation cast to the winds of fate

7:50 Military discipline maintained by... grades. It's a little silly, but when you think about college or grad school it becomes alot more intimidating. "Brother Lectus, your essay on the literary merits of the Arthurian cycle to an Astartes audience was only of Gamma-quality, and missing a few references. You will be sitting out the next campaign to edit this into a superior work." But on a more serious note that probably did, given other Astartes demonstrating they never saw themselves as having personal qualities beyond their legion and implanted knowledge, help reign in the negative behaviors by letting each Astartes grow themselves as individual persons.

This might be my favorite Warhammer lore channel. The formatting, the way the presenter speaks, the attention to detail, and the musical backdrop is all superb. I am always excited to see an Oculus video in my feed no matter what.

Fans like myself that own Space Marine table~top boxes where space marine’s are 5mm tall & have 5 warriors to a stand!! Purchased in 1991 : 2 years after its release by a small Nottingham company GW. To get my point in:- ancient fans like myself often overlook posts like these thinking we know it all!!!??

Love the images associated with this legion. A bit pretty for my personal taste but they are gorgeous models to paint. Lore for them is so rich and poetic. Love the duality of there nature; monsters with the faces of angels.
It must be a nightmare guessing legion sizes. I have heard five diffenty legions as being the "largest"...
Tbh the Dusk Raiders were a superior force to the death guard imo, not counting the numbers and power armour advances
