I'm a o lineman for my first year of football (sadly😢) and our drills against the d line every time we get destroyed, they always get better leverage do to their stances and were stuck in these useless 3 point stances mad for a 500 lb o line man, so why can't we get down in a 4/3 point stance like the defence?

+datguy635 True lol cut block if a dline is pissing you or just run him over!

      +datguy635 I'm a D like and I disagree D line is so much more
Fun then O line, O line is boring, with D like you get burst out of 3 point sack the QB or just run over the O line

I dont understand something: im going into my freshman year as a lineman. My coaches, both for o and d linemen , teach us to hit with our hands first, roll our hips forward, and EXTEND our arms. Why is it that at least 95% of all of these guys hit with their heads and kept their arms close? If anyone would explain, that'd be great, thnx

Your coach is telling u to do the right thing bro but practice makes perfect. These guys are just going off brute strength.if they got low, hard hit with hands (explosive contact),If they rolled there hips forward while extending arms.who ever follows those tips would win.you just have to keep doing these things till
It becomes instinct.and remember.the low man always wins (always keep your head up) lol

No problem bro lol.whats your height and weight? I'm 6-4 270 pounds.play D line. All those tips I gave u early I worked on every day after practice.

Nathaniel Lee Well, between the fact that im a freshman, and im the smallest one, physically I'm not NEARLY as impressive as u. With that being said, 5'10", 155 lbs.

With you being at that height.try and get low on all the other players.if u can do that am sure u will be fine.
