Micky depends on what you want to do. If there is a beekeeping club by you by all means join it. If possible find yourself a commercial beekeeper that you can be mentored by. The people that really got this figured out.
Then you have to figure out what your budget is. I personally love it. If you have any questions let us know. On UA-cam Bob Bennie is absolutely one of the national treasures.
