Love that the items on the build are sorta just a suggestion to get high on corruption. Only item from it I run is sunwreath and I'm doing fantastic. Could you explain why you have that shield? Is it to compliment the ring inflicting doom?
How is this build for early progression? Is it one you don't recommend before you have the specific pieces in the build guide? I'm starting a mage soon and browsing for fire builds, because I love fire lol.
It works just the same, but you don't need the shield/ring/belt combo. That's something I did to push the corruption higher. I had no problem with normal or empowered rifts or pushing lower corruption without that item combo.

They're both fine. I've done both and found fire worked better for my current gearing. I'm working on getting those new gloves which may make me switch back.
It's because there's so much gear variation I didn't want to fill the whole thing. Everything aside from the shield/belt/ring combo and attack speed gloves is variable.

yo you should post ur loot filter. ik you can make one from the build planner but its cooked half the time.

that shield removes 30% health and this is what a passive needs to proc a ward burst. i think thats why
The shield drops health below the threshold to trigger the Reactive Ward passive. This has been nerfed down though.
