I'm a pitcher and I have mad respect for catchers because they sometimes have to play 9 innings in 100 degree weather in all that gear. Even without the heat it still is challenging.
Me being catcher, I love watching other catchers play. Especially if they're wearing a camera. It just gives people the chance to see what it's like to be a catcher.
Im a second baseman, have been my whole life. The respect I have for y’all is incredible. My best friend on my last team was a catcher. Seeing him frame and stuff was so special. Since 2019 I’ve made it a habit when I get to the plate to tell the opposing catcher good job and I have respect.
Jesus Loves you He died on the cross for your sins and if you repent of your sins and confess with your mouth His is Lord and son of God you are saved. God bless!!!
I’m a first baseman, always have been. I have an incredible amount of respect for all of you catchers out there. I understand how hard it is in 90+ degree weather in all of that gear. Thanks for your service🫡
I’m an old man now, but I still enjoy watching baseball at any level. Watching this brought back good memories of summers spent at the ballpark playing baseball. Some of my buddies are no longer with us but I am left with great memories. Enjoy it young men, it goes by fast! Nice pitching and catching in this video!!
I was my team's starting catcher all through highschool. Cold weather and really hot weather too. This brings back so many memories. Man I loved playing ball.
I’m a center fielder, have been for most of the time I played baseball, and running around in the heat some days can be very challenging, But I have lots of respect for you because being a catcher is definitely the most challenging position, and to think that you have to wear all that gear for nine innings is terrible. Respect.
what I recommend is that you tell your coach that you hate the out field if you do) and they will most likely not put u there my personally i hated it and told my coach he hasn't put me in outfield yet but i play mostly catcher.
@@danielcruvant6041 must be because you're 9 that you don't think farther than your nose. When you're 9 you pitch from like 46 feet so of course you're going to pitch that fast over a shorter distance. These guys are probably at 60ft. The ball loses momentum over a longer distance
Im shortstop and I fairly respect our catcher. When me and 1st are trying to get the ball from out field, catcher is always ready for me or 1st to throw home.
Bro much love for our catchers. Never caught in a game but I had to do bullpen a lot for some reason and that shit was ass. Couldn't imagine doing that for a game when foul balls catch you all the time especially if its hot asf
I love this game. No matter who you are. There is just something special about baseball. Great video. Never forget it's all truly about having fun. I just have one question. Was the blue at second base the only umpire on the field. It sounded like he was calling the pitches also. Am I right or wrong?
In Little League, I suited up as a catcher one time. I was so afraid of the ball coming at me, I dropped the ball - every single pitch. Needless to say, I never caught another inning ever again (outfield was where it was at for me).
I play left/right field and I want to start pitching bc I’ve only played for 1 season, I thought it was awesome that you were nice to the opponents and wishing them luck
awesome idea, i think i'll try this at practice. Also if you drop your arm till the pitcher is set and flash where you want the ball, you can get more comfortable behind the plate. Just a tip. I think i'm actually similarly aged to you.
Man I had a chance to play baseball during the summer when I was in highschool but wasn't able to because of wrestling camp. It was fun but I felt like baseball was my preferred sport. (My dad forced me and my brothers to do wrestling.)
Tip: You don’t have to stand up every single time when you throw the ball back to the pitcher, and when strike 3 is called and no one is on throw that thing around
nice footage. looks like high school ball or at least that age range and with my stopwatch and average all pitches that came in a five pitch span i got about 62mph for the average pitch
In my country baseball is basically non existent, when i was a kid i fell in love with it and i became a catcher, i loved every bit of it. Sadly after 4 years the society failed and for it was the only club in 70 chilometers i had to quit. I miss those times
@@texsion most likely, you can tell by the condition of the field too. the clay doesn't look like its maintained at all. but they all did have to pay the league to play, and there're probably multiple teams with at least 11 kids on each team, so funding shouldn't really be an issue. and there's usually a concession stand that brings in decent money too, but than again this looks very rural so that's probably not the case.
