When are the next videos of the series coming out? I'm going on a trip in a month with my new TG-6 and I'm super interested on your take for wide angle and video! Awesome content! Keep up the good work!!
I would like to do a video and photo package with the TG-6, with a double handle tray, the Olympus housing, lighting arms, floats, two Backscatter SOLA 3600+ lights, an M52 Air lens, and carrying case. Please let me know what this type of setup would cost. Thank you!

Hello! Thanks for these really useful information.👍👍 May I ask why should I set the aperture at middle value rather than keep it maximum size (minimal value) to increase the shutter speed?
Setting the aperture to the middle value actually makes the shutter speed a little slower than when set to the minimal value. The reason we do it is for more depth of field in our image.
Hi, for shooting macro images with a video light, we recommend using microscope mode or P depending on what type of subject you are shooting. Here is a link to our PDF for the settings guide as a quick reference as well. (www.backscatter.com/images/article/content/olympus-tg-6/Olympus_TG-6_Settings_Guide_Photo_Light.pdf)
Sounds like you should check out Part 1 as well. That will tell you everything you need to know about macro with a strobe, so depending on what you want to use for lighting you are fully covered either way.
Also, one more quick question- I have a Hydra 5000S+ video light. Is there any reason (besides using up battery power) to take photos with the light set to less than 5000 lumens? Would that be too bright for macro or is more light ALWAYS better? If I use the light at full strength, what ISO would you recommend? Thank you!
The best way to answer all these questions and get you dialed-in would be to chat with us directly. Feel free to give us a call or send us an email at sales@backscatter.com!
Do you have any advice for shooting photos on the TG6 with 2 strobes (Inon Z240) and a constant video light (Kraken Hydra 5000S+)? I want to keep my video light on as a dive light and thought maybe it would also help fill in shadows in the images depending on how I position it.
These videos are great! Please keep the TG-6 series going.
Really easy to follow. Good explanation of photographic terms too. Thanks very much!
Thanks so much for this great guide - ultra compact setups are our favourite! Eagerly awaiting part 3.
Thanks, and it's coming soon!
@@backscatteruw Great Videos! I am also waiting for wide angle with a strobe video, about to purchase strobes!

What is the shoe mount that you used here? Edit: nevermind, it looks like a ball clamp and ball cold shoe mount

Got it!! Thanks!!👍👍
I cant find this video light and mount on your website. I have the tg5 and am wanting to purchase this lighting setup
The mount looks like a ball cold shoe and a ball clamp to the light.
Hello, I have a question, after setting the camera on the boat when you go down, do you should put macro mode or just let "A" mode?

Hi, looking for some advice on settings for use with a ring light if that's possible please.
Feel free to give us a call or send us an email an we will gladly give you some advice!
Do your recommended setting still apply if using your Air Lens?
Yes, in fact nothing here really changes other than the fact that you can't get quite as close with the Air Lens.
How should I have it set up. If have both a video and strobe? Thank you

You can have both on your rig for dif shots through out the dive, but it's difficult to use both a video light and strobes on the same picture.
So even shoot the Macro wiht video light, we still use middle aperture value and -0.3 exposure comp? This is different with part 1 setting.
Yep. Part 1 is for shooting with a strobe. A video light is going to be completely different.
