In my early 20s, I worked with Muslims almost exclusively from Iran. They were absolutely lovely. They showed me so much love when I needed it most. When 9/11 happened, they were mortified along with the rest of us. One of my friends named Ali died in a motorcycle accident and it was the first time I went to a Muslim funeral. It was pure culture shock. There was only one man from Kuwait that was very disturbing to me. I had to pick him up from the airport and drive him alone in my car, and he made advances the entire time after only knowing for about two minutes. I will admit that’s the only time I’ve been afraid.
That sounds like my experience of working in Istanbul in my early 20's. I got a marriage proposal from someone who was staring at me on a ferry. I was looking out at the view and he came over "I see you have no ring and am wondering why such beautiful young lady does not have husband, I think I will make good husband!! 🤣It was no fun at the time though, the men were forever chasing western women and I just wanted to go about my day and not be constantly harrassed by the men there.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1606
Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:
That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If I live - if Allah wills - I will expel the Jews and the Christians from the Arabian Peninsula."
Musnad Ahmad 215
It was narrated that 'Umar said:
If I live, in sha Allah, I shall certainly expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula.

I think the best way to counter the extremist views is by educating our youth about it and the danger it poses to the society as a whole and the best way to do it is by educating them about this in schools and colleges
we need to teach the youth well and guide them in the right way...there is a lot going on that needs the right teachings and non terrorist leaders mind controlling people
