He seemed to assume I would be bringing in a cheap broken scooter to his 'fancy' harley and customs shop and just didn't care to talk to me. Second place I go to, full of both street and custom built race bikes from Japan, Italy, Germany, was a small place with only a few people running it but many ongoing projects. He gave me an up front dollar figure for the work, showed me where a nearby cafe was and said to come back in 45min. Wasn't even expecting to get a booking same day but as it was a quick job he was happy to do it immediately. when you lube up your chain, I suggest you spray the inside of your chain where it runs towards the engine. Then you have several benefits: 1. your not spraying towards your wheels 2. the lube "travels" through your chain by centrifugal force instead of being flung of right away. 3. your rear sprocket will be way less messy. Last but not least do it after riding instead of before. The chain will be warm and the lube will spread much better and the solvents will evaporate until you ride the next time. Love how moog eats and wears things that they find from under the seats of old nuggets but still had to disinfect the seat so his ass don’t get germs 😂
It makes me immensely happy to see another cheap and fun vehicle on the channel, the under dogs (like the Lancer's) have underrated value! Funnest and funniest video in a long time fellas
Yes!!!!!! I just bought one of these, and they're absolutely fantastic!!!! Mine is a 1984 US model with the 2 speed. Was sitting since 1987 and I got it running in 5 minutes. Wish I could get a set of those Aussie postal saddlebags
When you say 2 speed, do you mean it has 2 total, or is it the high-low gearbox? My '74 CT90 has the high-low gearbox and it's an absolute weapon on the trails. I've never found something it couldn't climb.
My 16 valve 4 banger cylinder head is laying on my bench for a complete valve job and repair. Apparently I had to pull out the frame my bike's engine during mid summer, It's not a track day season thankfully, so I'll be ready until mid September! I really enjoy you guys, you're my favourite duo, fixing a motorcycle!!! ROCK ON!!😎 LOT'S OF LOVE FROM GREECE !!!
Best bike ever. My favourite thing to do back in the day was to have it on the centre stand and click it into 4th and slowly lean back and make massive smoke clouds.
I used to deliver newspaper on this in Japan, even in snow and typhoon, fell in love with it and ended up buying 50cc Little Cub. $2 worth of high octane petrol last forever, such a good mileage.
There's so many mods for these bikes , including brand new engines with 190cc and 5 speeds , thicker wheels , bigger tyres etc etc Would be cool to see you guys build one of these up to be a street ripper :)
We used to use Lifan engines as upgrades on these and the Z50’s. Other than that, heaps of mods if you know what parts to look for in the world scene. In Australia we weren’t lucky enough to get all the postie type bikes available in the world market. Suspension upgrades were done by importing a few Honda Astrea (front end, disc conversion, rear shocks, swing arm and 2 seater).
@@tightenurscrews the zones zongshen 190cc engines have a good rep , I know someone with 10k on theirs and its been fine , I will say though , they really need a bigger carb that what they normally supply with it really wake it up :)
This whole episode reminded me of how I started modifying chicken chasers (Honda 90, Yammy 70 step through's) welding steel plate onto the pressed steel forks to stop them collapsing on the dirt trails. A Ford Escort alternator belt driven to the flywheel would power two 40W halogen headlights for nightime dirt excursions. Great memories of rolling up to the local hole-in-the-wall at 3am in a bronze Cortina with two chicken chasers leaking petrol onto the roof and having burgers with the police that had spent half the night chasing us round the forest!
If you're working on any Japanese bike, the best thing to buy is a set of JIS screwdrivers. Saves you mashing any of the soft screw heads. My JIS Stubby is probably one of the most important things in the toolbox.
Just watching this as the postie went past delivering mail in nz! This was a first project with my brother and Dad which we built a go kart using the CT 90 version.
Loved the concept of magic hand... recording the event before the challenge.... that gave me ideas for some fun videos of my own for the family... Thanks mates. And I loved the bike.. Looking at the beauty my "Axle" Rose.
Rode mine Brisbane-Sydney mainly on backroads in late 1970's- bought $3.74 in fuel (although did start with a full tank and tailgate a semi down the freeway into Sydney that gets almost infinite MPG). Also had the low range option and it would just about climb wall- best vehicle ever!
"Mate there's nothing like it... you drop some acid, jump on your postie, and go pig hunting... it's the best." - Possibly the most cooked line I've heard on this channel?
For anyone who doesn't know, this bike is featured in an amazing anime called "Super Cub." I can't recommend it highly enough. I'm so glad to finally see another bike on MCM, even if it still isn't a Kawasaki. Looking forward to this one!
UK, I had a Honda Cub back in the 70's, 3 models over here, C50/C70 & C90. dual seat and a proper step-through type frame. Very good bikes in their day.
The power of editing. Moog just throws it anywhere and makes it sound exciting and then Marty gets a single shot acting like he requested specific details on what happens LMFAO
After years of watching mcm I still can't tell if they prepare these innuendo bits or if they just happen. First time I see Marty crack during one though!
This episode was awesome! I was really bumbed about hearing about those a**hole mechanics treating a customer that way, but props to the bald hardcore dude for setting the record straight! As a future mechanic I'm embarased for them! Great episode with a nice simple build, giving life back to a great bike! Have a good day people!
What a cute little rascal. I've never been much of the two-wheeled persuasion as I've hurt myself enough times on a regular bicycle, I don't need to be adding engines into the mix. But if I would ever get a motorbike, it would be something small and old like this!
My grandad left my dad a Honda Cub 90 and my dad’s passed it onto me so when I saw this video I got a little excited but overall, this is one of the best videos you’ve ever made, I laughed so much when Marty cracked 🤣
Long time follower, got into bikes about 2 years ago. Finally found one a 1989 one these bikes for sale in Ireland! So rare! viewing it tomorrow! Big change from my usual bikes! Cant wait
Those chain brushes are SO GOOD! I remember cleaning my motorcycle chains like a peasant with a normal brush till my mechanic showed me those. Game changer.
Nice watching this project, really enjoyable! I did want to ask what made the hanging bike move within the 37th through 39th minute, is that your magic hand Moog?
If you look closely at the top right of the screen you can just see the cord that is used to lift the bike is being manipulated by an off camera individual
The gunk in the air box it old fuel, if the tap was left on, the float jams open and floods the carb/head, throw the bike about and it fills the air box
That ending was perfect. It made me think of the Grand Funk Railroad "we're an American band" video! Thanks for mixing it up and getting to the simple stuff.
The memories, we love these bikes here in Greece, mostly the c50/90 and the GLX, they were so easy to work on, tuning scene was/is pretty huge as well. I upgraded mine to 127cc (was a 50), put the biggest valved head that i could find, cammed it and put a 26 carb on it. The thing was pretty brutal and really light. Plus it was pretty much bulletproof.
The memories! I am from the Netherlands and the first "real" cub I saw was in Greece, it was in Athens at a restaurant (kebaptognision) and had 99998,9 kilometers on the odometer. I saw it drive around later that day as if nothing big juist happened. Mad bikes.
Ever since watching the video of moog working on his bike (MBM) I’ve always wanted to see more bikes 😊 Yee should actually make a mighty bike mods channel! I’d be your first sub 😊❤️❤️
Marty: Wear some safety goggles when you're spraying the carbie so you don't get cleaner in your eyes. Speaking from experience cleaning a chain saw several years ago, it doesn't feel very good.
I was a postie for 18 years. Quite often the postie would find out when their bike was going to auction and buy it back. Also the gap between the 2 exhaust heat shields loves ripping wet weather clothing. The gear lever pedal loves shoe laces. Pull up at the lights and you can't put your foot down. If it has the indicator buzzer unplug in the headlight. Yes easy to steal but lets not say how.
An awesome tip for cleaning off needle and seat instead of replacing them get a Q-tip dip it in tooth paste and then use a drill to polish the seat and the needle will almost never stick after polishing works excellent

Pretty awesome jam....want to find out more about the band
Love how moog eats and wears things that they find from under the seats of old nuggets but still had to disinfect the seat so his ass don’t get germs 😂
This is why I love mighty car mods just two lads having a laugh.
It makes me immensely happy to see another cheap and fun vehicle on the channel, the under dogs (like the Lancer's) have underrated value!
Funnest and funniest video in a long time fellas
03:25 Moog, i feel you! I kept my Halo 3 hoodie until the zipper broke on it. If it works, don't question it!
Controversial opinion but I think I enjoyed the 2nd one more.
@@bavarianbanshee yeah, same engine as that. 4 speed dual range
ROCK ON!!😎
LOT'S OF LOVE FROM GREECE !!!
Moog, your scoring and implementation of it in these videos is legendary, thank you for what you do!
You know you've made something good, when the design doesn't change for 20+ years an no one asks why.
Best bike ever. My favourite thing to do back in the day was to have it on the centre stand and click it into 4th and slowly lean back and make massive smoke clouds.
I love motorcycle episodes ! Started screaming at my laptop when I thought we wouldn't see you ride it !
Thanks for sharing guys !
I love these bikes. They are the tank of the bike world. Next to impossible to kill, easy to repair, parts are still everywhere, and so much fun.
I used to deliver newspaper on this in Japan, even in snow and typhoon, fell in love with it and ended up buying 50cc Little Cub. $2 worth of high octane petrol last forever, such a good mileage.
37:40 the bloody push bike hanging on the wall starts going up on its own..
I just noticed that and was looking for a comment. What is that about?
Every vid made in the new shed has something eery happening in the background.
I SEEN IT TOO IT MOVED A LOT
@@antontaylor4530 We can see the string in the upper left corner as someone behind the camera pulls it up. :)
@@retrorabbitstudios So is it a gag? A running joke I missed?
First time I've seen you guys crack up during your little innuendo interludes :) 'so many guys have been in here before' haha
There's so many mods for these bikes , including brand new engines with 190cc and 5 speeds , thicker wheels , bigger tyres etc etc
Would be cool to see you guys build one of these up to be a street ripper :)
I’m curious about those eBay /Amazon engines myself
Did the same project with my Dad and brother years ago. And am also a kiwi. Good times.
YES! My first motorcycle and ground up rebuild. Got when i was 16.
That story with the mechanics made me tear up with laughter 😂
Such a wholesome anime
Marty's informative explanation of ultrasonic cleaning fluid, 33:01 containing things like sirfucktents. LOL 😋
Brilliant as always, cheers. 🙂👍
UK, I had a Honda Cub back in the 70's, 3 models over here, C50/C70 & C90. dual seat and a proper step-through type frame. Very good bikes in their day.
The power of editing. Moog just throws it anywhere and makes it sound exciting and then Marty gets a single shot acting like he requested specific details on what happens LMFAO
i like how Moog's says to use the right torque specification then proceeds to say ""till you feel the washer crush"
After years of watching mcm I still can't tell if they prepare these innuendo bits or if they just happen. First time I see Marty crack during one though!
Kudos to you Moog on compliments for Marty He does seem like the type of guy who would return your car in better condition than wen he borrowed it 👍🏼
I have worked on many of these things. It's usually the exhaust valve that goes first. It's any easy fix.
Despite the channel name and as a OG viewer, I really appreciate and enjoy the motorcycle content.
Wouldn’t be opposed for some more two wheel builds.
So someone tries and fails to steal your bike, police find it, then YOU have to pay $1100 to get it back? Who is the thief in this story again?
Victims always get bent over east and west
What a cute little rascal.
I've never been much of the two-wheeled persuasion as I've hurt myself enough times on a regular bicycle, I don't need to be adding engines into the mix.
But if I would ever get a motorbike, it would be something small and old like this!
Motorbikes, Magic Hand, Crazy Biker Stories, Pervy Banter and the Ghost moving the pedal bike.... AWESOME!!!! PMSL
The innuendo finally defeated Marty 🤣
My grandad left my dad a Honda Cub 90 and my dad’s passed it onto me so when I saw this video I got a little excited but overall, this is one of the best videos you’ve ever made, I laughed so much when Marty cracked 🤣
After watching the Super Cub Anime recently this is amazing.
Love the mechanic shop story from Moog. Super cool shop that ended helping young Moog out!!
Long time follower, got into bikes about 2 years ago.
Finally found one a 1989 one these bikes for sale in Ireland! So rare! viewing it tomorrow! Big change from my usual bikes! Cant wait
YO, the world of UA-cam is still waiting for the "In The Bin" remix Sir! Nice toss of the hand MJ.
Moog and his hoodie = me.
Marty = my wife.
I can relate.
Me too
Just bought one to work on, keen to drop some acid and go trail hunting on it when it’s finished!
Had an orange ct90 when I was a teenager. Had the best time on it. No matter how much thrashed it, it kept going and going and going.
Loved this. I am no mechanic and its decades since I messed with bikes but I just bought one of these and am gonna learn as I go, putting it right.
Reiko-chan's gonna agree with this!
Finally character broken during a bromance situation! Marty I cracked up at the same moment dude!
@•••ʀᴇᴀᴅʏ for L!VE [S]EX••• 😂 Fair point! Perhaps he values his polished ring more than his bearded face hole lol!
The CT110s are so hard to find in the States. And when you do find them, they're almost as expensive as a new Trail 125.
Same on the other side of the Atlantic. You're looking at least £3k
Buy the new one and you can pass it onto your grand kids 😉
Best Bikes Ever! I’ve owned over 20 of them and still own 2 plus a old 60s Cub! You can’t kill the posties!
Those chain brushes are SO GOOD! I remember cleaning my motorcycle chains like a peasant with a normal brush till my mechanic showed me those. Game changer.
Nice watching this project, really enjoyable! I did want to ask what made the hanging bike move within the 37th through 39th minute, is that your magic hand Moog?
must be, hahaha
No, their shop is legit haunted I've seen jacks move on their own and stuff being moved and even thrown on camera
Moog 100% edits that weird stuff in you just know he would
If you look closely at the top right of the screen you can just see the cord that is used to lift the bike is being manipulated by an off camera individual
Thank the lord, i thought i was hallucinating :D
My bowel movement is in sync with your uploads lately
Guess we must be synced up Matt Jose.
Same here, always seems to be when I'm at work too, what a shame.
That's what you say to ya boss!
Last time u pooped was 6 days ago? u need fiber bro
It must have been tough for you when MCM took that month-long break over January.
The gunk in the air box it old fuel, if the tap was left on, the float jams open and floods the carb/head, throw the bike about and it fills the air box
Yeah we worked this out eventually, threw us off cause it was bright red!
That ending was perfect. It made me think of the Grand Funk Railroad "we're an American band" video! Thanks for mixing it up and getting to the simple stuff.
loved the metal music during the video
So happy to finally see another motorcycle on mcm. Now we just need the electric car brought back
"That was really well enunciated , now STFU and help me get it off the truck" lmaoooo
I was always wondering what bikes are those when i come in greece,we here usually have tomos 😁
The memories! I am from the Netherlands and the first "real" cub I saw was in Greece, it was in Athens at a restaurant (kebaptognision) and had 99998,9 kilometers on the odometer. I saw it drive around later that day as if nothing big juist happened.
Mad bikes.
Yo your profile pic is that yamaha 135cc sniper/jupiter? Ahh the memories.
Marty, "Seriously, all you need is something battery operated. Fixes everything." Wise words. Applies to many life situations.
Fantastic surprise. I've got an '82 C70 and a Ruckus. Love the little Hondas!
Ever since watching the video of moog working on his bike (MBM) I’ve always wanted to see more bikes 😊
Yee should actually make a mighty bike mods channel! I’d be your first sub 😊❤️❤️
Marty: Wear some safety goggles when you're spraying the carbie so you don't get cleaner in your eyes. Speaking from experience cleaning a chain saw several years ago, it doesn't feel very good.
Came here to say this!
Fellas, what's the rad postrock song at around 36mins in? Totally my vibe, love it ❤️
2nd that
Tried using Google song recognition, couldn't find anything
