In this video I show you my 2 favourite models of New Balance shoes: 530 + 574
Both of these shoes are super comfy and great for wide feet.
I am typically a size 9 US /40 EU (womens)
The 574 fits TTS (although if you get the wide version you could size down 1/2 size)
The 530 fits slightly big as it is unisex and comes in mens sizing so consider sizing 1/2 size down (especially if you have a narrow foot)

caution when ordering: these are made in MENS SIZING-always look at the Euro size to ensure proper fit
For reference the shoe sells online as Women’s Size 9 US/Mens Size 7.5 US/ 40.5 Euro (FITS 1/2 SIZE BIG)
If you take a size 9US in womens like me, you need a size 7US mens in this shoe!

Helpful video! Thanks. I ordered the 574s true to size 9.5, but in wide. 10 fit great in the toes but was way too long. Tryed them in store and the regular 9.5 seemed too short, like toes were hitting the front 🤷🏻♀️ am grateful they have wide sizing available in the new balance site though.
For size guide i would suggest the best way to order New Balance sneakers /shoes online is by feet length thats printed with CM ( centimeters ), The CM is your foot length and most shoe, sneakers company print it, but we always ignore it since we are used to using US,UK,EU,IT sizing ,but the CM and JP,JPN (Japan) is the way to go since is foot length. Also D stands for STANDAR and not Wide, 2E is wide by 1/8 or 1/4 i forget.

I guess the saying “everyone’s foot is different” really is true, because I have both shoes as well but both shoes are actually too tight 😅 i could’ve gone a half size up because each one kinda hurts my big toe but maybe i just gotta keep wearing them to break em in. I purchased the 530 in my usual size and found your video after I realized I might’ve gotten the wrong size. Good thing I watched this and bought a size down just in case it’s sold out!
I just ordered another pair as well :) yes it’s annoying some websites don’t mention this shoe is Unisex sizing,meaning men’s which is frustrating

The woman principal in my high school a few days ago had only New Balance 515
omg thank you for this video it's so helpful. so if I'm normally a women's US8 then I would get the men's US6.5 or even the 7? because online it says the 6.5 is 24.5cm and the 7 is 25cm

hi Janice I’m really conflicted for the 530 should i get a 6 or 6.5 if I’m a true size 8 in 990?
If you’re a size 8 US (womens) in most other athletic shoes I would get a size 6.5 US (mens) Because I take a size 9 US womens in most shoes and get a size 7.5 US (mens) in the new balance 530 and they fit perfect. Just make sure the website says mens (some websites convert them into womens sizes but the actual shoe is a mens shoe)

If you foot is narrow I would side down, if wide size up (my foot is a little wider)

this colour in the 530 is sold out literally EVERYWHERE I am crying :(

They’re not really supportive enough for a workout or running shoe they’re more of a street shoe
Ok, so if I’m a 71/2 in women’s what should I order?
I'm 7.5. I ordered US 6.5 based on the comment below. That's 24.5cm and there's an allowance of .5 inch. I think you should get US 6 for exact fit. I tried it on with thick socks but it still obviously has an allowance infront of the shoe.

no order a size 6 US (mens) that equals a size 7.5 US women's....this shoe is always sold in Mens sizes (unisex)
Janice, do you think this pair need to get one size up? Because half of people said they are one size small, but others said they are TTS. Really confused.
I am always a size 9US in women’s shoes and I get a size 7.5us in men’s in these and they fit me perfect and I have a little bit of a wide foot if that helps at all. They are definitely not tight on me, they fit perfect 👌🏻

Hi may I know what’s your foot’s length? Because I’m usually 38 euro size but when I measure the length of my foot it’s 25.5cm according to their size guide it’s 40.5. So I’m really confused here to get 38 or 40. 🥲
My foot is ~ 9.5 inches long
