Frances [aka] Fra Heflin played Mona Kane Tyler from 1970 till her death in 1994

Now THIS is why some of us still feel cheated by the shabby ending of AMC, and ABC's mishandling of the program in its later years. Here are characters we cared about -- Erica, Bianca, Nick, Mark, and Jackson -- played by actors who understood and knew their parts and the folks watching, taking advantage of writing that was true to the story and the incredible theme of this program, as created by The Princess of Soaps, Agnes Nixon. Oh, and RIP Fra Heflin. WE LOVED YOU!
