I love that she spoke about both of her children. She loved them both equally. There was no "spare" in her heart.
What became of the world after what hateful and toxic people did to her, speaks for itself.
I'm sure her loss felt by Harry is more than we'll ever know. To go from being quiet and shy, but still equal and loved, to being quier and shy, so lost the only person who loves you, and being all alone and nothing more than a spare, and to be surrounded by a mob of people, many who took the life of the one and only person who ever really loved him equally in spite of himself and his external circumstances, and suddenly it makes sense why he left the family. I heard him talking about how he saw Meghan be treated the same way they had treated his dear mother, and it just broke him. He wasn't going to let those people take away another woman who loves him.
P.S. I am not a fan of either one of them, or the Royal family in general. But, this is just my two cents (since the whole charade has been unavoidable).

@@grace52775nah! He could be more than a spare if he wanted to and put efforts in it. Look at Princess Anne and Price Edward. One presented UK in Olympic and the other graduated from Cambridge. Sometimes being a spare gain tremendous freedom that “the one” doesn’t have. However, if you only focus on the negatives and victimize yourself then yea the whole world is against you unfairly.

The entire human race displays different characteristics (behaviours) between the ages of 1 and 3. And surely it is desirable not to be a copy of your siblings at any age! It has been observed that it is Harry who is closer to Dianna in character traits than his brother could ever be. The tabloids (owned by tax-dodging bilionnaires with unaccountable political power) were orchestrating a hate campaign against Di at the time before her untimely death ('crazy woman', 'as thick as two planks', 'out of control', 'no sense of duty', and all that claptrap) as well, but she had already built her popularity (domestically and internationally), so it was much more difficult to destroy her (although had she lived, they would probably have succeeded in doing that too). The same cannot be said about Harry, hence he has become a constant and much more easy target. Tabloid lies and venom have intensified since his court victories against these corporate sewers and their malpractices.

Yes. It’s one of those tremendous moments where I think most remember where they were when they heard. For me, it was 1 week before my wedding. I was sitting on the bed organizing things, while hubby was out with friends for his bachelor party. Was very sad. I was married in NYC the following Saturday and the Empire State Building was lit up in Union Jack colours. Such a monumental loss for us, and unimaginable for Prince William and Harry, and family.

I lived in England for a while in the late 1980s and one time, I happened to see her in person at a public appearance--purely by chance. Even from quite a ways away, she just had this extraordinary magnetism, a kind of inner glow. And of couse her height and carriage really made her stand out. But her energy...I've never forgotten it. Diana renewed interest in the monarchy, but her personal life became tabloid fodder. Unfortunate. Charles and the Royals occupy a world unto itself far from the realities of a normal life. I think younger people today don't relate to the monarchy like our parents and grandparents might have in the past.
I suspect Harry would have turned out to be a tosser even if she hadn't passed away. His cruel words about things in his childhood happened long before

I saw that the late Diana was always very kind. Met her in 1984 and she was a beautiful princess. Same that she is gone.. peace be with her soul..❤
