Chad and Lisa I have to tell you I watch a lot of truck videos and about 15-20 minutes is about all the time I spend watching a video and I'm on to a different one. But when I see one of your videos the first thing I do is check the length and the longer the video the more excited I get. I really enjoyed your video and all of your videos. You always make me laugh. I love the the 359,379 and the 389 Pete's but there's something about the 386 that I really like. And when this one was done. It's a good lookin truck. I really like it. So thanks for your videos. Keep em coming. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Always carry xtr starter. Never know hopefully carry the tools too Hello from Utqiagvik Alaska. Our new name of town. Old name Barron We're you keep your pete overnight in a garage when it's -16 lol😅
the problem i see with that deep a drop is that the radius on the fender does not match anymore, including the radius on the bumper. needs some fiberglass work on the fenders as well as some welding on the bumper to look right again.
Hey Chad I know your not a freightliner guy definitely not a cascadia guy but my question is what car hauler axel can I use on my cascadia whether it be freightliner or western star?
Hey chad is it best to switch a 1998 379 to a 389 spring (single leaf stock) then do like a house of air. Or stick with the factory. 98 axle with a kit? How much lower will it go? I run 24.5 but for some reason my 98 was ordered with stud pilot which is weird so I’d be updating to a budd wheel also. Hopefully your at wildwood I’ll stop and chat
You can switch to a 389 spring, but it isn't as easy as you think. You will have to move the spring hanger back, and then also figure out what to do with the hood guides. That takes a little time, so I usually just leave the stock springs in unless the customer wants to spend the extra money. It doesn't get much lower, if any at all.
I have a 92’ 379 Peterbilt. Would this wide base axle work in my truck. If not would y’all have the part number for narrow base axle that would work for my truck?
@@berrytruckn so if I go buy the spindles and tie bar then I can do the swap? I’m not against buying everything. By the way- your dump truck was absolutely amazing to see in person at MATS!!
@@berrytruckn alright. I appreciate it. I’ll see if I can dig up a part number for an older car hauler axle that will swap with my parts or check the local Salvage yards for a complete wide base unit. Thanks for the replies!

Sooo, the wedge that you guys used on the suspension.. helps with the caster angle of the front wheels? Correct? Great video guys!
I like this video

So with factory leaf springs if I put car hauler axle how much will the drop be?
Chad and Lisa does this axle also work with disk brakes front end on a 2022 389?
What front spring did you use an do you have the part number on them thanks.
Can an old international Transtar Eagle cabover be converted to air ride in the front?

I honestly have no idea. I don't work on those much.
Do this axles fit in any truck?

How much cost the axle and where can you order.?
Shocks Peng's lucky LOL

No it would not work, unless someone previously put the widebase parts in. The spindles and tierod bar is different.

@@gtmotorsports937 I would say you would have to buy the complete axle assembly. That would be you're best option.
