In this Miami Travel Film we talk about the history of Miami from Tequesta times all the way to today. We discuss the best ways to travel to Miami for vacation - Miami International Airport, Amtrak, Metra, or Driving.
We spent a week in the Sunshine State's biggest city and had an incredible time.
Be sure to explore Miami Neighborhoods (there are over 20). We highly recommend utilizing public transportation in Miami - Metrorail, Metromover, Metrobus, and the Miami Trolley. There are also rentable personal electric vehicles, especially in and around Downtown Miami.
We stop by some legendary Miami Restaurants to eat some amazing foods - Cuban Sandwiches, Poke, Fried Chicken, Burger, etc.
Some of the best things to do in Miami include Wynwood Walls, Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Miami Beach Beach Walk, South Beach, Bayside Marketplace, Bayfront Park. Don't forget about nightlife at places like Swizzle, Mama Tried, and Crazy About You.
Miami History:
Miami is considered the capital of Latin America, but at least 10,000 years ago it was home to the Tequesta, who had settlements from West Palm Beach all the way to the Florida Keys. They lived off the land, taking advantage of the natural environment, and were especially skilled at fishing.
The Spanish arrived to Miami and conflict with the Tequesta ensued. Fast forward 100 years, and the Tequesta have been decimated by both warfare and disease. The Seminole Nation moved to the area and more warfare plagued the region.
Miami was founded as a city in 1896.
In the 1960s, Cubans began immigrating to South Florida, fleeing Fidel Castro's regime.
Miami is divided into several neighborhoods like Wynwood, Little Havana, Overtown, Little Haiti, Downtown, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Design District, and more!

As a Miamian I appreciate all the history you included. Excellent presentation!
I've only ever done South Beach, sigh.. Need to update my Miami stops now.
South Beach is a fun place, the buildings are so iconic. We'll probably spend a bit more time in Miami Beach next time 😎
I’m visiting Miami soon and have watched a ton of videos about the city and this is definitely the best! Thank you!
Fantastic Video!
Can’t wait to see your Miami film. So hyped!!!
Thank you 💯🥳
I really appreciate your research on the areas you visited in Miami - Thanks for that.
Thanks, Luis ! The guide was very thorough. It really helped me get excited to visit Miami for myself. Thanks for the help !
Whoa! Thanks for the tip about Sugar rooftop. Can’t wait to visit Miami again in a few months.
Great job! I’m heading there !
Omg what a fantastic video! Great information on the history of Miami and super suggestions on where to go, what to see and what to eat. Thank you!
Thank you so much I really appreciate it!!
Great production quality man! I bet you put in a lot of work in these videos. Just waiting on you to blow up 📈
Thank you Nolberto!! 💯
Great content am going in August
Thanks Luis very complete video about Miami ( My Favorite City ) ! New Sub Here!
Like your videos man as someone from Florida is nice to see someone that actually knows the area people and culture, if you look up things to do in Miami or restaurants in Miami on UA-cam it's all people from England or Australia or Canada just reading off list that I've never been here before the number one recommended video tried telling people that the average temperature in May in Miami is 70 to 85° f yeah right lol
GREAT tour. Gotta get down there and check it out.
Thanks so much Brian!!
I love your videos.
For this world traveler, Miami is top of the list
You packed a lot of informatin in 19 min video. Great job! I love National hotel in Miami Beach. It has old Hollywood vibes.
Yea the National is really nice, I checked it out in 2019 but didn't stay there. Thank you so much!!
Would love to see a south beach travel guide! I’m heading there in a couple weeks.
OH Gosh what an amazing video Luis. So beautiful
Thank you for the kind words 😁
The production/ edit on here is crazy!
Thanks bro 💯🙌🏼
Goat travel channel
Thank you my friend!
As a Miyamin native you nailed it! Thanks
Appreciate it!!
Louis when is your travel show on Netflix coming out?
2022? ... or maybe 2023 ? 😅😉
Luis, maybe in the future you can do a walking tour of downtown Detroit. It’s pretty dope.
Yes that would be so much fun!
You should have gone to the frost science museum and the la carreta restaurant
I'll take my niece to the Frost museum next time!
Is public transportation worth using from Miami Beach to any other of the locations you mentioned?
Yea, that's what we did
👍👍👍👍
is the public transportation system efficient enough to get rid of my car if i move there?
Really depends on what your daily commute looks like. If you’re mostly in the core of the city and not going back and forth from the suburbs, I would say yes.
Usa is truly a dreamland, isn't it?
🙌🏼
That flag in thumbnail looks like flag of India a lot
Yes it does 🇮🇳😎
@@LuisGustoComedy big fan of your work from India brother 💪
Thank you my friend 😎💯
Yo, check out the documentary call Black Miami to increase your knowledge of what black people gave to the development of Miami.
Great video! But robust public trans…. Yeah, no.
Thanks! It's certainly robust enough for visitors to the city. During our 1 week stay we took the Metrobus, Metromover, Metrorail, and the Miami Trolley -- the trolley & the metromover are completely free to ride. There are also lots of electric scooters around downtown. Can Miami's public transit be improved for people who live in the city? Yea I can definitely see that, but in my opinion travelers to Miami can get around without a car by taking advantage of the public transportation, and that's what I meant by robust public transit.
Thanks Luis gusto and Narissa. I got to checkout Brickell, Winwood art 🎨, Bayside market, and other things in the Miami metro area. 🚇 I too the metrorail. I took the people mover 🚝. I went to the beaches. I never noticed the Miami tower before 🏙🌆.
