That decision is up to the client! I have had a bass sent to me from Japan that needed the neck straightening and it's non-removable truss rod replacing. It was an expensive job by some peoples standards but half the cost (after shipping) than it would have been to have it done in Japan. If the client thought it was worth it, I have no problem doing the work. Victor...

Completely agree on the neck being the most important part, takes forever to get right when I'm making guitars.

Love your channel! 3:30 funny enough I found your channel researching how to level and crown frets to complete a warmoth neck replacement I'm planning down the line. I was astonished to find that they don't do any fretwork other than pressing them in. Through your videos I've completed one level and crown and I'm going through my existing guitars one by one and sorting them out.
Thanks for the top notch content!

Hi Victor, I have just found your channel.
My local community and the main towns around us have just lost most of the local shops and their technicians owing to store closures over the last 3 years. I have been a musician playing in local bands for 10 years, and have worked closely with the owners of the last shop to close in my home town.
I know myself and my community are now a bit stuck for anyone offering these kinds of services. So, after offering a sound engineering, PA and backline hire service last year, this year I decided to also offer my own repairs, which includes guitars, amps and speaker repairs. Thinking I knew what all this would entail as I've always done all of my own setups, your videos have shown me there is still so much to learn.
But I just wanted to say that your channel and videos have helped inform me with my own service, making sure to get the best quality tools I am able to afford, and they have inspired me to learn more skills. I want to assure you that upon things getting beyond my ken, I would like to contact you and give you some work. For example, I am not able to offer a re-fretting service, any major damages, headstock breaks, refinishing, or resetting set-thru necks. But if things like this are to come up, I would not hesitate to get in touch, and if availability allows, sending you some more work. If that would be ok with you?
Thank you for your well informed views and expertise in your excellent videos, keep up the good work man.
Oh, and thank you to all of you at the Royal Mail for your extra hard work over this years manic times, it is appreciated. :-)
    Jason

The light ash Tele neck was a legitimate Fender neck. The other 2 are not (I clearly stated that). Victor...
