With Onefinity’s update to 2000 pulse. Is this necessary anymore and would it be worth setting it to 4000 vs 2000?

I still don't see any reason not to set this to 4000. 2000 is definitely better than the default, but I think 4000 is even better.

@ that doesn’t mess with the software or have any communication issues within the Masso?

I see where the Masso pendent can be used to adjust the RPM and Feed overrides, do you know how this works?

I’m not sure that has to do with the pendant. I know the MASSO can do that, but I don’t see how the pendant could. I could be wrong. If so, please share more info so I can read about this.

@@UglyDogWoodshop I searched the Masso documentation for "MPG" and it is in that section, at the top I believe, I don't understand what they are saying there.

You are right! I can be done. You need to have a keyboard and press the F11 or F12 key to select the override you want to change. Then you can jog dial and you can see the selected override change on the screen. As soon as you select a new axis the dial revers back to jog mode.

@@UglyDogWoodshop Ahh that explains it, you need a keyboard, I couldn't find F11 or F12 anywhere, sounds cumbersome to use but still good to know about it.
      Thanks, Pat

Hi, I caught your video series Trick Out your CNC and watched them. This one is a big help, I have the Masso Pendant and the Estop did not work. After watching your video, I moved the Black wire to position 1 and now it works. (both work) Thank you. I have a question about making changes in the dip switches. Mine are set from Onefinity in the up position, you suggest moving them in alternating positions of #1 up and #2 down and repeat to make the pendant work properly. I don't have a problem with mine working, can you explain?

Those switches change the number of steps per revolution in the motors. The pendant may (should) not work on the stock settings when you're slowly moving the dial while set on the X1 setting. You can make it move, by turning the dial quickly, but then you lose the granularity of X1 unless you have amazing timing. Masso even recommends changing to 800 steps per revolution due to this issue, if I recall correctly. I'm suggesting going even higher because the lower steps per revolution produce a rougher surface finish when cutting curves. This can be noticeable when cutting hard woods and definitely will be noticeable when cutting aluminum.

@@UglyDogWoodshop I followed your suggestion and changed the Dip Switch settings and the X and Y from 400 to 4,000. This change appears to smooth out the travel on X and Y with the pendant. I am not sure about the Z axis. I did not understand about not needing to make a change. My next Trick-Out will be the VESA no crash mount. I think that is a better option than the stand alone mounts. Just seems safer to stay on the Onefinity. Dropping the Masso is not an option and no recovery is possible.

@@jimpalmer1944 They say the Z axis is already fine. My experience varies. I believe it would benefit from this change as well. I have to move my pendant quickly when on 1X to get it move. I'm thrilled to hear you're interested in the No Crash. That's actually my top seller.

I haven't got the pendant yet, im using an old usb mini keyboard but it's on my to do list. What would be really nice in my mind is a docking station for it on the screen too though.
I'm using the qcw table sfb, but all the wires coming out of it means under the screen itself is really pretty damn messy and I hate it but I definitely don't want to be adding more wires and mounts to that front corner, especially after when I get the tool setter (12 weeks still waiting)
I've been trying to design some sort of wire cover for the whole lot of them but sketchup isn't the best software for it I don't think, at least for me because i'm not great with the software yet and I am brand new to 3d printing too.
Back to the pendant though, would you be able and or willing to design up a different kind of mount for the left side?
I'm thinking a pendant dock under the vfd, the vfd basically in the same place but then an extension above that to fit other things using magnets. So this new mount would be basically one panel the full height of the screen with magnet placement options for multiple set ups. That way you can have just removable docks to fit the vfd, extra buttons, pendant dock, bit docks, collet docks etc. In this way I see it as more mix and match to suit your needs.

I'm willing to take a swing at a design. I'd want to be sure it met your needs. Please send me a message on the site so we can discuss in more detail.

I appreciate your thoroughness on how to install the pendant but you never explained why I need the pendant (title of the video).
There are plenty of videos on how to install but I thought you had something else to offer.

Sorry about that. I thought I did. To me, it’s freedom move about while jogging and more importantly, being about to keep my eyes on the position of the tool rather than having to look back at the touch screen. That tactile feel of the pendant allows that where the touch screen doesn’t.
