Something about that realisation at the end... I doubt this toon was intended to be interpreted as such but it really feels like the process of growing up to me. Having all these weird thoughts and behaviours, thinking that you are a messed up individual that nobody could love, then realising that other people are just like you. Despite how it gives you confidence that others can love you as you are and that you are not as abnormal as you thought, it is still a very distressing feeling. The purity that you once saw in the world is gone, everyone a tarnished being, society a garbage heap. Others may be willing to love you, but do you still want to love them?
Its just like asking why get into a relationship if you can get hurt, you're going to get injured if you exercise so why get fit?

"Yandere" is a term to describe someone who is so desperate for a specific person's love that they disregard the wellbeing and consent of that person that they love. It may lead to violence, it does not necessarily involve violence and is not the main focus or desire. "Sadism" is a desire to cause harm to others, not necessarily targetted at any specifc person or for any specific reason. "Masochism' is a desire to inflict harm on one's self. I am mostly unfamiliar with the term "menhera", it seems to originate as a very broad term to describe anyone dealing with mental health issues ("menhera" essentially originating as a blend word of "mental healther"). It seems "menhera" gradually developed more specific connotations, i am unsure on those specifics.
@@elio7610 small correction: yandere is a general term for anime characters that have a obsessive love for someone but it can be expressed in any kind of way as long its showcases their mental instability, they don't necessarily need to be violent
