    Studying games of this level on my own would be pretty futile. But it's most fun watching them with such a good commentary. Again: Thank you very much!

    I have never watched so many commented games one after another as on this channel. The pace and comments are fantastic.

    Awesome stuff -- compared to chess, there's a huge lack of Go content on YT. Keep it rolling
    I’ve been low amateur dan for the past 10 years (and can feel it, playing on KGS). Any advice on getting through the 3d barrier, and what other servers to check out?

      Thanks! To get past 3d, most players need to have a more accurate minimap of the boardstate in their head. Try keeping active track of every weakness, and if possible, thinking about each of their worst case scenarios throughout the game. I usually recommend playing on Fox for players of that level, enjoy!

    I've seen a lot of crazy AI tenuki recommendations, but the one at 20:26 has to be the craziest. Makes sense if there's no good move, but it just screams "continue or resign" to me.

    27:01 shows a significant advantage of r7 over q9: you could answer capture with bamboo above rather than needing to come back to defend on side. So white should play n11 rather than n12, black obviously can't just connect because then white pre-built the bamboo, so white has the ko or left centre connection.

    The way you explain the psychology of top players and how they think as the game progresses is very helpful as a current 12k

    Great commentary, as usual ! I had a question in the opening : based on SJS recent losses against more traditionnal big moyo games, do you think his opponent are currently pushing for these kind of games or is it just business as usual ?

    • @telegraphgo
      @telegraphgo  Рік тому +3

      No, I think Shin Jinseo's opponents know they must play their own best game to win. However, I do think professional players are slowly moving towards making more moyos again. There was a while where people almost thought AI invasion strategy allows us to refute moyo strategies, but I think we are just collectively learning how to play the style without losing to any Cho Chikun imitator off the street.

    I understood why 114 is a mistake instead of q7, bcs it make the capture of o9 a threat to connect at Q9 wich give black a little more power in the following fight than it would be if you play the other move. And also we see that in the following fight after white 132 black can still get L11 playable by the ko opportunity for connection after taking that O9 stone
    Great video, even if the rythm is quite slow and your mic definitly suck (buy a new please, it's only about 20$ to get a good one)
