In this video, I’m going to share with you my honest thoughts and opinions on the Chanel Mini Rectangle. I will go over the pricing, dimensions, the pros, the cons, as well as demonstrate what fits inside. My Mini Rectangle is in the black lambskin leather with silver hardware and was purchased from the Chanel boutique in August, 2020. I have been using this bag pretty consistently ever since I have purchased it, and it has been such a functional and versatile bag that can be easily dressed up or dressed down. Most importantly, it is extremely comfortable and lightweight for me to carry all day long. I hope that you enjoy this video and that you find it helpful. Beautiful bag! I love mini rectangular bags! Did you consider getting the mini rectangular with top handle? I have both and if was to restart my collection over again, I’d get the one with a top handle because it’s lighter and you can add just a little more items!
I have seen the mini rectangle with the top handle and I think it’s adorable! Problem is, the two are so similar I can’t justify owning both! 😭

This bag is incredible, I even carried a mini umbrella WITH my phone, keys, and airpods in it!! Only thing I couldn't fit in with all those things is my medium-sized wallet, but I just stuck one card and one bill in the open back compartment. It rains so much here that I always have to carry my umbrella with me just in case. My second criteria for small bags after whether it fits my phone is whether it fits my umbrella 😂😂

Thanks for the support!! Mmm it really depends. For instance, I have no interest in the mini square so I only wanted the rectangle and I loved the shiny lux finish the lambskin gives. But if you want both, I would consider which one I would take out more regularly and get that one in caviar. Either way, they’re beautiful! 😊
I got mine like in 2017, it was $3100 +tax. I remember waiting 6 months for it (waiting list). I love that bag 😍.

I have a Small Classic Flap, Caviar Leather and Gold Hardware. I sold a Lambskin WOC with GHW because it barely fit anything.
I think my next purchase will be the exact same bag you have. It’s $5200USD now but I miss the Lambskin Leather and I want a Chanel bag with Silver Hardware. I was told that the length of the chain can be shortened with by a leather surgeon.

If you don’t mind me suggesting, if you need to maximize space on the mini, try a flat card holder, plus your mini Pochette or even better the o-card case/pouch and you will still have space for sunglasses, key holder, lipstick and all;). Enjoy your mini, I love mines;)

What months out of the year are these bags usually sold in? I’m flying to Paris next month and I’m hoping to find this bag at one of the Chanel boutiques out there but I didn’t know it was a seasonal piece until I watched your video 🥺🥺🥺
Hi Gisela, I’m not entirely sure to be honest with you. I purchased mine in August. However, I’m not sure if they come out with a new batch for each new season, with limited quantities. To be sure, I would check in with an SA!
I have a square mini, but after watching this now I want a rectangle mini!!! I do find the mini rect’s drop a bit too Long on shorter frames though but nothing that can’t be adjusted w a shortener

I just got one, in black lambskin and champagne gold hardware. I plan to use this bag for special occasions. Definitely not an everyday bag!!

I just bought a so black patent classic mini from Casa Mesa boutique in L.A.; $4700. I prefer it over the woc, as my key fob and phone will not fit in a woc evenly. The mini is better all around as it carries more and still works crossbody. I almost bought that exact bag you have two years ago; it was $3800, so yes, it is quite valuable and a good investment when cared for. Thank You for the review; beautiful bag.
Yes, the mini rectangle is definitely more of a proper bag whereas the woc is more of an slg! They have increased in price so much in a relatively short amount of time! Thank you for your kind words and support! ❤️

Hi Tiffany! The leather is definitely more delicate than caviar leather but there’s no cracking, and I live in a very dry climate. For minor surface scratches, you can buff it out with a soft cleaning cloth but not for deeper scratches, so you do have to be more careful. However, I love the texture of the lambskin and it is so soft and plush compared to the stiffer appearance and feel of the caviar.

@@FariyaDoll21 always so happy to see my fellow Canadians here!! There are quite a few being resold! Personally, I’m not going to sell mine so I wanted it brand new! Plus, the resale ones are all the same price as new ones so no point for me to buy preloved.

I still love my LV reverse monogram#nkuwan clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

Please help! I don't know if I should get this or the Dior Saddle Bag. Obviously, this is more classic but I feel like my clumsy self might ruin the lambskin.
Oh boy that’s a tough one! I don’t own the saddle bag but I’ve been eyeing it up too. I would say the Chanel is more classic and if you want something more timeless, it’s definitely a safer choice. Plus we’re all aware of how well they retain their resale value. I might be a bit biased but I feel the Chanel should be first on your list between the two options.

How is the lambskin holding up?
It’s holding up beautifully! Just needs a conditioning session about twice a year and it’s like brand new!

It’s a big financial decision, so i completely understand! Honestly, I don’t use mine much lately because I have so many other options that are more carefree! But that’s not to say I regret my purchase at all, cause I don’t. It will always be one of my dream Chanel bags. But since you’re looking for an everyday bag, I’m not sure if this would be the best option as it doesn’t fit a whole lot and especially not with the lambskin. 🙈
@@IreneSimply it's crazy here in Australia that the small is $12,000 and the mini is $6,000 but the small is the classic double flap and caviar.

Do you have problems with the chain?
No, not really! I initially had issues with the length but I was able to figure that out with the buckle clasp mechanism.

Irene Simply it’s $5300 CAD plus tax. Which is insane, for a mini bag. They went from a higher quality material to a lesser quality, yet increased the price.
Wow, see that’s why I’m feeling like I might not purchase other new items from Chanel unless I’m looking in the preloved market. It’s getting to be insane.

The preloves market is not that much more inexpensive. Fashiophile’s prices are same or even more than retail.
