- A 25 minute beginner / intermediate Pilates reformer full body workout complete with Jumpboard cardio intervals and strength sequences. As usual, a repeat cameo by a noisy toilet!
This video uses a Balanced Body IQ Reformer (the old model of the Metro IQ Reformer), but I provide heavy/light spring cues for anyone using a non-Balanced Body reformer or a Balanced Body Allegro Reformer.

Curious if anyone uses padding (and if so, what) in straps to soften contact points, in both hands and feet. Thank you.
Great workout!
Thanks Sharon! Balanced Body makes some padded loops - that might be helpful for you. I’ve also had success with foam handles for hands in straps work (you can find these on Amazon - they can be fairly inexpensive, and if they have a D-ring attachment, they should work). Otherwise, maybe wrapping some squishy socks around the loops might help? Could be hard to maintain a grip if so, so I’d recommend proceeding with caution if you try that.
@@MelanieLopezPilates many thanks!
Anytime!
As I watch this, my neck feels bad, does she need her head rest soo high for jump board? Isn't it better to flatten the head rest?
The headrest can be placed up or down for jumpboard exercises to suit the client’s level of comfort/specific physical needs. This is typically the case for most reformer exercises, with the exception of raised hip/pelvis exercises like bridging, for which the headrest should always be lowered.
