Description
Lot #997 - Restored in 2008 with no expense spared, this Mustang began as an FE-block 1967 Ford Mustang fastback in Dark Moss Green metallic, originally fitted with an S-code 390ci 4V V8, 4-speed manual and 3.25:1 limited-slip differential. It received a bare-metal rotisserie restoration with custom Shelby-style vents and scoops; painted, treated and wax-oiled interior panels; and an airbrushed and ghosted 427 logo and Shelby GT stripe done by Abbie Aspin. The car was refinished with Moss Green DuPont paint with six coats of clear and features Scott Drake trim, Ringbrothers hood hinges and Spectral black anodized tail moldings, front grille and plate frames. It also sports high-output headlights, sequential LED lights in the rear and front grille, and PIAA driving lights. This custom Mustang is powered by an FE block 427ci 8-cylinder Roush crate engine rated at 500hp and featuring an alloy Carroll Shelby block, Edelbrock intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, AFCO aluminum radiator, 1/2-inch stainless-steel fuel line front to back, custom bracing and supports, custom headers, 3-inch X-pipe exhaust and hand-built wiring harness. Gear changes are provided by a Toploader wide-ratio 4-speed manual transmission with a Lakewood scatter shield, McLeod clutch with hydraulic release bearing, 9-inch 3.55 rear differential with posi-traction and Tom's Kickass axles. Adjustable Wilwood 6-piston front and 4-piston rear disc brakes along with an electric-over-hydraulic power braking system by ABS provide the stopping power. This custom rides on 18-inch U.S. Mags Magnum wheels with Michelin Pilot tires. The chassis features a custom subframe connection, Total Control Products rack & pinion steering, Race Craft drop spindles, sway bars, and suspension using quarter elliptical QA1 coilovers in the rear and QA1 adjustable coilovers in the front. The front struts have Steda camber plates in the towers. The custom full leather interior features ProCar seats, trunk storage and battery case by Buckets & Benches, brushed aluminum dash, Haneline gauges, Lokar pedals, Hurst shifter, custom pistol E-brake and bezels, Clarion 4-speaker sound system and a powder-coated custom roll cage. - Авто та транспорт
Beautifully done car and looks good on the stage too. Thanks for taking us along Rich
Always appreciate you taking time to watch and comment Lloyd, have a super weekend.
Gorgeous car! Very well done and tasteful ! I even like the rim selection on this beauty ! Thanks for sharing Rich...
Rob, It was good seeing you yesterday at the show, your Mach is looking awesome. Great new touches on all fronts performance, comfort, diveablity and cosmetics. We will have to do a drive video sometime in the future and to your car justice. Thanks for reaching out and stay in touch.
Incredible build!
That is one beautiful ride!!!
They did a heck of a job on this one for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting, have a great weekend.
Wow, that is one sexy car! Hubby gave it a thumbs up too !
It’s very nice
Thanks for watching and commenting, have a great weekend.
Somebody made off with a nice check !!
They cared when they built that car. It’s not some parts catalog car that was put together just to sell. Beautiful car!
She is so gorgeous! Keep up the great videos, we appreciate them. Have a blessed weekend!
Thank you and have a wonderful, blessed, weekend as well!
That’s a beautiful car especially for 132,000. I think it would be hard to build an identical one to it for that price!!!
Agreed, probably had at least that much into the build. Less auction fees, not sure they came out ahead on this one. Thanks for watching and commenting, have a great weekend.
They probably didn’t make any money. Thanks Rich
One of my biggest disappointments was never owning a '67 to '70 Mustang. This '67 is just phenomenal! As I've said before, a guy had an completely original '68 fastback, 428 4 speed car. Green with black interior. He sold it for $1200,I couldn't get the money in time,he sold it the very next day! This was in the early 70's. If I had the $, this would be the '67 I'd want!
Robert well, let me know if you are in the market I may have a '70 fastback for sale soon. Thanks for watching and commenting, have a great weekend.
@@MustangConnection1 All of these Ford beauties are only in my dreams now. Living on only my soc.sec.,it's just an old guys memories now!😔
Looks like they didn't bother to put a weather strip on the decklid 🙄
The interior was ruined by that cheap Japanese steering wheel. The incredible oversight on that. It should have had a steering wheel like the one in GT 350s.
it was a deluxe wheel from 65-6 Pony interiors and pretty sure they are made in Taiwan but I get your point. Not gonna argue with you on that one..
@@MustangConnection1 For all the $ spent on that car, a repro Shelby steering wheel like the one used in the Bullit Mustang would have been perfect!!!
A $ 120.- grant wheel in this no expense spared restomod? WTF
I have seen a lot of builds like this, I have learned over the years to not be overly critical and that is such a small sin in the overall build. They may have had a problem with a custom wheel working with the ididit column( a comon issue). Maybe the guy or builder just like it, who knows. Again, an easy fix for the new owner who just shelled over 132K
