    fun fact the ps290 is made in the same factory as iwata, its essentially an iwata hp-th without the mac valve. i have it and installed the iwata custom grip on it makes it more comfortable to hold.
    gsi creos also makes a custom micron clone called the ps-771 at half the cost. i have both the 0.18 ps-771 and the 0.15 harder&steenbeck infinity cr plus and i prefer the former.
    the ps-771 atomizes better thanks to the 4part head design plus the trigger feels way more comfortable and responsive. plus it was cheaper than the infinity, i bought the 771 from spraygunner at $225 usd vs $250 for the infinity. the mr hobby airbrushes have now become my go to workhorses. i have the 0.3 ps-289 (which is comparable to the iwata hp-ch), the ps-771 (custom micron), and the ps-290(hp-th). you should give more of the mr hobby airbrushes a try, definitely recommend them.

    I had to stop buying Iwatas because I really don't have the money for it but that didn't stop me. I sold everything but a side feed Eclipse, A CM-SB and a Paasche AB Turbo. That is a FUN brush to use but it makes a high pitched whine just like a turbo in a car. Its super annoying and cool all at the same time!

    Thank You for another great video. I just recently upgraded my airbrush. I have for many years had and used a simple cheap syphon feed single action airbrush of which I have used for spray painting some of the scenery on my model railroad layouts. about 4 years ago my son-in-law gave me one of his syphon feed double action airbrushes. Then a year ago on my birthday my daughter gave me a Masters G233 double action gravity feed for me to use.
    In the past couple of months I have been looking to upgrade to a better all around airbrush as a go-to workhorse so I have been going back through and again re-watching many UA-cam videos (including yours once again), just to find out which airbrush you experts recomend.
    As usual none of you experts let me down. It seems that the majority of the airbrush experts on UA-cam point to and highly recomend the IWATA HP-CS as the best all-around workhorse for an upgrade. So, with that said. As of 2 days ago I purchased the IWATA HP-CS as my new airbrush upgrade.
    Another thing, ever since I had my first airbrush I have generally used cheap acrylic craft paints from walmart etc in my syphon feed airbrushes for painting my model railroad scenery. When I got my Masters G233 double action gravity feed a year ago I wanted to find out what airbrush paints to use in it and it was you yourself of which pointed me in the right direction and helped me decide to go with the Createx brand airbrush paints.
    Once again, Thank You for your great advice on both the airbrush upgrade as well as which brand of airbrush paint to use.
    P. S. - No, I have not had a chance as of yet to try out my new IWATA HP-CS as I have been too busy with other things including re-watching your own great instructional videos in my spare time in order to learn more and to refresh my mind pertaining to things I might have forgotten. - Once again, "Thank You" for all your wonderful advice.

    Funny you have pretty much the exact lineup of brushes I have. 😂 I agree the Neo is the absolute best option for beginners. The only one I’m not a fan of is the Infinity CR Plus, it’s pretty and works just OK for the price…

      Omg Westley! I feel the same way. it's just ok. I don't use it much, if at all anymore. I have too many others I like. Thanks for dropping me a comment, and thanks for watching.

      Hoping to start a UA-cam channel as well. All the best.

    Try Grex. Way better price points for equivalent performance. Grex Genesis XGi3-ES is only $119 but equivalent to HP-C plus. And, you can get needle kits for 0.2, 0.5 and 0.7

      Joe, good information. There is a lot of good airbrushes out there. Iwata is just what I have been using for 20 years. It really doesn't matter what airbrush one is using as long as you can achieve the results you are looking for. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    It is my understanding that the hp-c+ can handle enamel and acrylic paints and the Eclipse cs is better suited to acrylics. Is that why you have both?

    • @TheAirbrushGarage
      @TheAirbrushGarage  Рік тому

      Fred, I have never heard that. If your medium is thin enough and it flows through the brush, it will spray. I have all those brushes because I have a problem. Lol

    Thanks for the reviews. I watch a lot of airbrush reviews and I have never heard of anyone who uses the trigger stop. If it's so universally panned, why do you think they were even offered? Seems like that feature would add to the final cost of manufacturing, which I'm sure is passed along.

    • @TheAirbrushGarage
      @TheAirbrushGarage  2 роки тому +1

      Neb, I agree. Trigger stops have been around a long time but putting them on the end of the handle is newer and more innovative. How much it adds to the bottom line I'm not sure. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

    Is a side mount cup a gravity feed or suction feed airbrush?

    • @dancuccurullo8453
      @dancuccurullo8453 2 роки тому

      T, . If the paint level is above the nozzle's tip the airbrush is gravity fed. If the paint level is below the nozzle's tip the airbrush is siphon fed. Side feed airbrushes adapt to your needs depending on the attachment you choose. Hope this helps. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching.
