i LOVE LOVE LOVE how much sam kept biggin up the importance of having a REAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD this WHOLE interview!! 👏🏽👏🏽 he’s such a poet also; every sentence he speaks sounds like it could be a line in a book or a song ☺️
This was like a FINALE episode! This was SO GOOD!!! Tbh, the names I don't recognize are the best episodes...I love learning about their stories and their journeys! Life lessons!
He unlocked more of his brain’s potential. While there isn’t a secret part of the brain that we can “unlock,” certain practices can help you access more of its full potential. Through consistent effort, we can improve how we think, learn, and adapt, effectively maximize the brain’s capabilities. Amazing
What words can I use to describe this episode? It felt like one where you need to pause, meditate, and let it all sink in. Each week, I’m drawn to this podcast for its knowledge and engaging interactions, but this episode was on another level-like a masterclass where you just want to sit, take notes, and absorb every detail. Phenomenal, though definitely challenging to put into practice right away.
@iamMsSaddler .....sit, take notes, and absorb..... I will be rewinding it several times. This had me stop teleworking and gave this my full attention. This was great.
Thank you Fellas. You had another one with Mr. Sam Hook. I was not familiar with him but now I am and I like him. God was truly walking and watching him in each step he took. That’s amazing. Good job to all of you men. Love ❤️
This interview was definitely a slow burn at first. I didn’t expect the first hour to be basically him dropping gems, sharing most of his life, the lessons he learned, all the people in his life that guided him to where he is now and God constantly blessing and showing him what could’ve been. Shouts out to Sam Hook, dope individual, amazing story.
Just watched the replay…. Let me apologize up front; I have never heard of this young man in my life but I really enjoyed this podcast! As a Christian, I’m a little concerned about some of these artist ( especially the language..) But I’m encouraged when I hear them refer back to their Christian up bringing and how they still hold on to it. As I listened to him share his journey, I can see how life matured him….and that’s with a lot of your guest on the podcast. And I appreciate how Tank & J just let him talk…………..Very inspiring young man. May God bless & keep you.
I am beyond inspired by this young man’s journey! Thank you J & Tank for the best podcast on the planet! And naked is one of my top songs on my playlist!
Moral of the story, don't burn bridges with people. We honestly never know who God is putting into our lives and what their purpose is in our lives. I love this episode, Sam Hook is extremely talented and I am glad people are seeing and knowing who he is. Thank you fellas for giving him his flowers.
Great R&B Podcast. I enjoyed it so much. I can related to what Sam was speaking on about his relation with God and family. I appreciate what he speaks on about the business and the protocol. I love this ❤. I will share this Podcast with my Son who is currently back in ATL trying to get his footing back in the music industry.
Every freaking minute of this was a Gem. Made me rethink my whole life. What I love about this pod is that if they are not an artist I don't know who they are behind the scenes or their connections and now I do. It just adds so much love and respect that I have for R&B. The honesty and humbleness in this particular interview is unmatched.
The way he is taking accountability for his actions is beyond inspiring. I appreciate a man/ hell a person in general, knowing they have a responsibility to be better for self & others. Respect 💯
I’m on the part when he said I’m nervous right now. Bless his heart I hear it in his voice. I’m loving this so far. I don’t know him, however, glad to be getting to know him.
Every time I think I have a favourite episode, a new one comes and takes its place. This was one for the soul! Now I'm gonna reach out to all my siblings! #RnBMoney 🔥🔥🔥
Such an interesting mind! So many insightful gems not just for music, but life in general. I screamed when he mentioned 'Smartphones' (love that song). Also s/o to the bts team for the lighting change 👏 this is the best set up x
This is absolutely my favorite podcast and this was absolutely my favorite episode. Thank you guys for allow this gentleman to speak freely and share his story. The structure and leaving the "protocols" was truly something that I needed to hear. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
This is my most favorite episode...I can listen to Sam Hook all day because those Gems he was dropping from experience were golden. I also liked what he said about getting closer with his father. He made it his business to build with Him. That's a beautiful thing and a wonderful soul. Thank you for sharing him with me.👌🏾
Great episode! Much respect for brother Sam Hook. A perfect example of how supporting talented people in our community pays off! Lets support those who are good at math and science the same way!! Talent wins for us all!
Yooooooooo the callllllllendar, STRUCTURE, TIME!!!!! With all the good people I lost these past years this system is necessary. I love love this interview. Thank you!!
Man bro I’m in tears right now I know I love my kids and they love me but not living in home with them at times I do go days without talking thanks for the guide to go by to have productive relationships
loved this episode. Sam Hook dropped life gems and new perspectives! shout out to this King. very wise, very accountable young man! thank you for the new ideas!
For him to say his first placement "wasn't even a hit or nothing" and then to casually drop the name of one of my favorite love songs... lol. Pls give yourself more credit for that song Sam 😭
It's wild. I didn't realize that he had written so much music I've enjoyed over the years. I remember hearing him on a song called Down That Road with Fashawn like 15 years ago. I never knew he was so active songwriting.
I have to comment! This was so enlightening! I felt Sam Hook's heart in this episode and this was my 1st time meeting him and that's how I feel when I watch your interviews. Like I'm meeting new people or catching up with people. Great interview! God Bless!
Wow, what an amazing man with an amazing story. He's very inspirational & was spittin some real shit. I love how the fellas just let him speak his truth so freely. You can tell he's in a great, spiritual place in life by the calmness he exudes. And his skin, its flawless! Also his voltron is the ultimate, straight fiyah! Thanks J & Tank for another great, educational, entertaining episode. 😊❤
This is my favorite podcast for real !!!!!! Once again a awesome show !!!!! The way u two introduce the ppl behind these songs !!!!!! Is BEAUTIFUL AND APPRECIATED!!!!!! THANK R&B PODCAST !!!!!!
I was really big into following Sams career at the beginning. Around the time he wrote "Forever Ain't Enough" for J. He had a song out i loved called "Don't Go." I followed him for some years after that I had a kid and didn't realize some of the songs he wrote after that for others. I saw his features but never liked into his new composer credits until today. I have a lot of synchronicity moments everyday but that here are some that are connected. I'm texting a female and sending her songs, which started because the next day(today) is her birthday. I sent her "it's my birthday" by Jacob Lattimore, and that song made me think of "Cake" by Trey Songz (I just found out Sam wrote that). After 4 songs I send her, I send her one of my favorite songs to come out in the last 10 years, which is "Naked" by Ella Mai, and i just found out he wrote that. He wrote a few songs on the Trigga album that I love and other great music. I'm glad they did this interview. I was excited to watch it when I saw it. I also just realized that me and him are the same age. He's still young and can still write a lot more songs! Oh I was recently thinking about him because Orlando Brown recently sung a unreleased song on a interview that i fell in love with, which made me think of another song that never released that I Love which idk the name but it's by Sam and it's a love song that goes " when I'm in that, I'm gonna hit you with this sword." Might be called Solider. Sam, if you read this, I need that song, lol.
This the first episode where I can say it hit me to the core when you all spoke about Writing from pain and desperation. Really saw and understood myself from watching this episode
Wow what a journey. Sonetimes we have to grow and learn the lessons are parents taught us and realize they are there to instill greatness and support. I would be super nervous too but this platform allows people to be comfortable, authentic and feel safe. And shouts out to Chuck Harmony! Thank you again R&B Money.
B. McKnight hasn't been seen in the best social media light lately so his music and legacy has been suffering. Really shows how words and actions can have a major impact. I love Brian's music too.
@free2roam350 personal issues aside you can't deny he's one of the best singer/song writers we've had the pleasure to hear. Same with R. Kelly. I could care less about social media lol I'm a true R&B Soul lover & it's partially because of that man.
That Trey Album!! Oh my goodness always wanted to know who wrote that magic! Thank y'all for bringing these writers to the light! To shine their big ones.
Wow. This was a deep-heavy-awesome-blessin lesson. I need to listen to this again to write down some stuff. Wow. ❤ this Please get Patty Labelle. I think she would R&B and some lessons.
This wasn’t an interview. It’s a Ted Talk or Masterclass in The Curriculum of Character !! The transparency is palpable!!
Factual! This is free game
@@JamesAnthonyTheDesigner-my6cm Indeed!
Big Facts! I loved every minute ❤️
@ Same! I kept rewatching parts before I could get to the end.
I agree!!
Another epic highlight of a talented but lesser publicly known individual. “A life you can’t put on a calendar…” was a WHOLE BAR!
i LOVE LOVE LOVE how much sam kept biggin up the importance of having a REAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD this WHOLE interview!! 👏🏽👏🏽 he’s such a poet also; every sentence he speaks sounds like it could be a line in a book or a song ☺️

Lessons Learned = Wisdom Earned. What a Great Interview, & Display of True Humility by Sam Hook. ✊🏽✊🏽

Alot of food for thought
@iamMsSaddler .....sit, take notes, and absorb..... I will be rewinding it several times. This had me stop teleworking and gave this my full attention. This was great.

Tank’s version
‘ I can’t make you love me’- gives me chills . It’s NOT talked about enough!!
It's been covered for a very long time, by alot of ppl including Tank so it has lol
I agree Tank understood the assignment with that song. BUT...listen to Samoht version on the Terrell show and tell me if you still feel the same way

When this first started, I kinda wasn’t feeling it but now that I’m at 1:05:48 whew!! I hear God talking to me about my structure.
Listen!!! 👏🏾👏🏾 His system on structure is to be studied and added to some school’s curriculum.
Mannnn! I’m in here restructuring family relationships! Asking “How are you/how are you doing?” Means Everything!!!
This!!
This was one of the BEST interviews EVER!!! Sam Hook's self-reflection and restructure is amazing.
I am beyond inspired by this young man’s journey! Thank you J & Tank for the best podcast on the planet! And naked is one of my top songs on my playlist!
WHOLE lotta gems dropped in this one..life master class
Moral of the story, don't burn bridges with people. We honestly never know who God is putting into our lives and what their purpose is in our lives. I love this episode, Sam Hook is extremely talented and I am glad people are seeing and knowing who he is. Thank you fellas for giving him his flowers.
Sam was spittin!! I will be working on the structure of my relationships moving forward. Loved this!

Ugh. This was me of the most beautiful conversations and just words, that I have heard ever. He’s so beautiful from the inside ❤❤

🎁 Every episode feels like an unconditionally-imperfect love letter to all things R&B. “I Rock With That!” Cheers!

Great episode, loved hearing Sam Hooks story. 💪🏿
This was so soooo GOOD! I appreciate this Podcast so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm surprised more people don't have B. McKnight in their top 5. He's my second favorite male R&B singer after Luther
Same!
@mrspeaker89 I will admit listening to certain songs and reading the song lyrics now makes me question whether or not I should continue listening 🤔
SUCH a powerful episode...life was spoken...receive it🎉❤😊
I loved this ! Hilarious, grit, and shadow work talks.
Class Lessons were definitely in session!!!!
That Trey Album!! Oh my goodness always wanted to know who wrote that magic! Thank y'all for bringing these writers to the light! To shine their big ones.
I can relate so much. I had the Payless sneakers as a kid and I got bullied for it. It built character for sure but it was rough going through it.
Whoa! He did THAT Trey album? That’s my second fav from Trey aside from Ready! 🎉
Wow. This was a deep-heavy-awesome-blessin lesson. I need to listen to this again to write down some stuff. Wow. ❤ this
Please get Patty Labelle. I think she would R&B and some lessons.
❤Wow...another Banger!! I love the stories of triumph, so inspiring ❤
