And from the video we see for good reason why Ana shouldn’t have OW1 cooldowns. Spamming anti on tank 24/7 showing she doesn’t need Nade that quickly. Nade is an ability that should be used in the same way lamp and Suzu not to be a match controller.
They needed Ana going into overwatch 2?
@@DatManJBWell that is not a very satisfying way to use nade, the fun way to use nade is when you land an anti nade on multiple people on the back line and your winston/genji dives them

This honestly seems like something that could improve the game tremendously.
IF they implement some version of this however, we need icons which display all passives of both teams on the team overview screen.
nah don't need it. however, I'd prefer if the scoreboard didn't show me kills/death/healing/assits/red over that - or at least not in that scuffed fucking way it does (multiple people shoot target -> multiple get a kill/assits wich is scuffed).

Honestly I think the cooldown reduction would be better as it means he can use his pull more which is probably the best part of his kit and then also increased his survivability

In high level comp play he’s not, as much as I want him to be. Every other support excels at being useful. I mean this as in they can at least hold their own in a fight
Fun fact(This will most likely be changed if the passive system becomes permanent): The 2nd support passive also affects self-healing. I found this out while playing Ana and nading myself while being dived with low hp. I still died but I healed back way more hp than usual.

Tbh i think this isn't an experiment for if it could work but instead how it needs to be tweaked. Previous hacked events were just number changes, but this has quite a bit of new ui (granted these could've existed prior). I might be reaching here but I think we're are def going to get this in the base game after some more work, possibly with the ~season 18 balance shake-up.

Last Stand gives Tanks their cooldowns faster whenever they are below 50%, Close Call could work the same or activate with regen like you said. They definitely need to add the equiped talent's icon on the scoreboard along with shortening the name to talents (that is what they are)

Brig is lowkey busted with resourceful. More shield bashes and whip shots just means more dps and mobility, you get packs faster, and your shield bash recharges fast enough to get three bashes off during rally. Its kinda nuts
The movement passive is huge on moira, you have lots of way to go up over 50% health to trigger it again, also it applues to the fade
Does the second passive affect yourself? Like if you are ana and under 35% will nade do 50% more healing to you?
Close Call feels like it was designed for when you are getting hard flanked, but since Swift Save affects even yourself using an ability to self-heal feels a lot better suited for that kind of scenario
Imagine, I dunno, a short speed boost after using an ability? It would benefit mobile heroes with short cooldowns disproportionately more but Resourceful already benefits the long ones more and at least it'd be more interesting to see. Someone like Mercy doesn't instaclick Swift Save anymore and Lúcio constantly swapping between aura modes to zoom even more would be funny to see
I think the last one is only beneficial for ana if its against a full dive comp
even then, im pretty sure the middle one applies to self healing. so you can get +50% burst heal from self-nade. Or you can use the CD one for more uptime on it. Full dive comps have high mobility, I think the speed one is only useful if you're getting ran at by slow heroes.
The middle one procs on 87.5/250HP. So if you can wait till you get that low, it goes from 90->135 self heal. Or with DPS passive, 72->117. The self healing buff is why I think moira would always take the middle passive. The fact that the threshold is 87.5hp and most body shots do 70ish damage makes her dueling potential way better. If you can make someone tunnel on you in a 1v1, focus on your movement. And its much harder for them to kill you with body shots
Here’s what I think:
-Use cooldown reduction when you’re playing dive, where you mostly focus in landing nades
-Use more healing when playing brawl, since your tank definitely need high healing
-Use the speedboost when the enemy is focusing on you
Personally, I think the speed passive works well on Reddit Lucio and DPS Moira. Since you actively are trying to get into 1v1's and take damage, you will innately use those passives in your active plays. You could also use it for Kiriko and Illari, but the others just fit much better.
You should try playing DPS moira with the heal buff passive. It buffs self healing and the threshold is 87.5hp for 250hp heroes. Most body shots do 70hp, so it's much harder to kill her with bodyshots while she's dancing with her orb. And the heal buff helps her DPS playstyle for emergency healing when your tank is low. And if you accidentally point coal at your tank it'll heal so much. And it's literally impossible to lose in a 1v1 against ana even if she's 100% accurate as long as you save fade for nade

I feel for myself at least the increased healing on Ana would be my go to. With tanks being focused so hard and my aim being sus being able to burst heal with less shots hit would benefit me more.
On paper the move speed one seems good but it also seems that once ana is below 50% shes basically dead already if no nade or cover, so the CD reduction would seem more beneficial there.
I love the passives, they should keep this for quickplay atleast, make it fun for people to play again!
By the way, this is what overwatch lacks, such a good shake-up, very driving and cool. such changes should be more often in the main game
3rd passive works better when dove by dive dps rather than Doom (since he bursts you)
I thought the movement speed increase passive would help you survive better against dives, problem is that if you’re near 50% HP as a support you’re pretty much dead. Unless it’s Moira Lucio or maybe even mercy. I’m thinking maybe Kiri too could benefit since she’s hard to hit and has a lot of mobility. I really wished this benefit Bap Ana but I see them just sticking with heal increase/CD increase. Bap feels like he will almost always have CD increase cuz his heals are insane already. Ana can swap between CD/heal passive.
there’s a lot more player agency, but I wish there was an indicator for which perks someone has(on death or smth)

Speed boost sounds too niche when you already have a regen passive. Maybe the passive should kick in whenever youre not full health
Love this change. People will just change passives more often instead of counter swapping. Although that support speed passive definitely needs a buff. No reason to take it over the other 2 with where it’s at rn

these passives seem like they'll make things more interesting gameplay-wise, but ultimately I think for the competitive aspect it's not a good idea as it'll add a whole new set of variables that people really won't be able to control a lot of the time, like for example sometimes people won't die because they have a certain passive when they normally would've died and etc.
hope they eventually come back to the 6v6 format. appreciate them trying out new things to make the 5v5 format better though

Genuinely, me too. I adore paladins, but there’s a damn reason they removed the speed boost several seasons ago from the dps passive. So they made one that’s stronger making a speed boosted dps make me wanna blow my brains out

I been calling for this since day 1. Paladins has something similar but this is more like what apex did. But mixing cool downs and unlocking them mid game is fun. But the issue with this is one of them is op and the rest are almost not worth picking

Basically all that makes Paladins distinctive as a game is seeping into Overwatch 2, after 5v5, picking the passive, they only thing remaining is having card loadouts to further customize the champions... er, heroes (for now!).

Ow1 started with no passives except for armour and shields, now there’s like 20,000 passives trying to fix the fact that there’s 1 tank spot instead of two. Just go back to 6v6 already
All characters had passives. This iteration is just an evolution of rolelock.
The 2nd and 3rd passive: Helpful passive making the class more effective.
“Resourceful”: Clears out every tank and runs it down mid.
Now you all see why Ana anti is a boring/terrible ability. This isn’t OW1 things easily die in this game more than likely you just have bad Dps on your team or your you suck at healing cuz Ana shouldn’t to be the one to be the one running it dow killing every single Tank and DPS in the match.
