The promised Akuma guide is here! Its now taken the top spot as the longest character guide I have ever made, and all in lovely 4k too! I got something for everyone here, and everything has timestamps so feel free to skip ahead to whatever makes sense for you (LEAVE A LIKE FOR TIMESTAMPS ON AN HOUR AND A HALF VIDEO THANKS). Akuma pretty cool yall and while he obviously has the stated weakness of lower health, I think he more than makes up for it considering his power and variety. So give the vid a watch and let me know what you think! ****EDIT**** In the section showcasing raging demon pressure, its better to go for lights instead of crouch medium kick into DR into demon as it will create true inescapable demon setup post flash. I made a mistake on my initial testing, sorry about that!
how did you decide on the length or did you just let it be as long as it needed
@@Hotashi character guides just go as long as they need. At one point I tried to make them shorter but then I felt like i was cutting corners on info. At this point people know I go long so I just embraced it. Maybe one day ill try like one of those hyper stylized edited 10-15 minute ones but for now info dump reigns supreme

@@rundown132 I wouldn't use this video just yet if you're in Iron. Better to focus on the basic mechanics of the game. There's a lot to learn so it's best to not overwhelm yourself with information that isn't that important yet. Also the game gets much more fun the higher your rank gets and progress is much faster once you hit silver, so dont get discouraged.

So using the Tekken big guide format for here, felt odd doing combos inside the main video though. I might spin it off for separate combo + guide vid for whatever the next sf6 character guide will be. Felt good for tekken but not used to talking and explaining SF combo structure in a vid, rather just showing it all in one go like ive done in the past. We will see I guess. Anyway Akuma kinda cool, you just do things and it works so here's how to do a lot of different things lol

always appreciate your guide videos. I watch a lot of them from different people just so i can get as much info as possible but you are one that i truly pay attention to bc you go so in-depth. Will you possibly make a separate combo video or a dedicated video for Demon flip?
this is probably it for akuma dedicated content for the moment. I think for the next sf6 refresh season 2 character guides ill split combos and the main guide back into two vids like i have done before. This format works fine for MK and Tekken but it felt a little off to me doing it for SF.

Minor thing to be mentioned: With demon flip, the divekick changes angles depending on the strength of kick. Light is shallowest, heavy is furthest.

On a side note, i believe from light testing that his medium tatsu on a grounded midscreen target is an imperfect safejump (43 i think) but another meterless safejump to mix up in the corner is back heavy kick to light demon flip + divekick of choice lets you link to shoryu + super for a cashout but the divekick itself off a demon corner raid gives +42

Now I’ll probably regret this, also not sure what’s the most efficient way to type it out but. DR into demon is easier for me then dash demon here’s how….
Fwd- Fwd+LP+MP+HP+MK- Fwd+LP+MP+HP+MK- Fwd- LK+HP (normal 1st or raw)
Works every time as fast as possible… natural combo off of all normals, sets up perfectly off of CR.MK and CR.MP, probably other normals too.
You can lose some of those inputs and it still works but it’s easier to just mash Fwd and 2 buttons then press LK+HP. It’s stupid easy.

Stupid question but what is the track name you're using? I tried Emma Hallow and Akuma's theme but I'm not getting the sick guitar rift that's playing. Also thank you for the awesome guide, liked and already subscribed!
Im not sure which is which, i got all the music packs and then set akuma with every akuma/evil ryu theme

Stand HK is actually an amazing whiff punish tool. It's incredibly stupid how often I get away with whiff punishing with it. And I'm not even that good at the game, my reactions are terrible. One of my favorite uses for it is if I see Marisa doing a gladius, I just step back let her whiff and press the button. The range on it is kinda absurd.
Akuma will always be one of those characters where you’re playing online and you choose your character and they pick Akuma and then think to yourself “oh shit” 😒 because you know you’re fixing to get wrecked.
