Let me know if you guys like these kind of guides! I've been streaming a ton so if you don't mind me doing these videos unscripted, I can do a lot more. Thanks for watching, and don't forget there's timestamps!
I think your approach to this with notes planned out was fantastic. I know I learned alot and wish I could find videos like this on every character season 2.
This was really insightful. Most people make guides as soon as the character comes out, trying to capitalize on all the people trying to learn, but more often than not, even the guide maker's knowledge is surface level. Good job making your guide based on practical experience.
nice tips, thanks alot, i wish there were more frame traps setups to catch players who dont respect akuma's pressure, sometimes i feel like my turns are being stolen easily
UA-cam, thank you so much for showing me this. Currently platinum 4 with akuma and I’m loving it, but god how much I’ve learned that I had no idea in this video is absurd! Nice work
As a new player, yeah this is a bit advanced for me atm, but it's so nice to have a sort of combo guide with someone EXPLAINING what's going on. Rather than just showcasing the buttons and the combos that they do. That qcf+u fireball is something I never knew existed until you said. I bet there's more shortcuts like that that make the game easier as well.
For side switch you can either do the hasho geki then back grab for no bars, or from his light tatsu bnb do a heavy empty demon flip, leaves you 5+ and on the other side in a lot of cases. Both for no bars, can also be done from heavy hasho geki second input but leaves you only 2+ or 3+ and doesn’t always side switch if they back roll. Happy gaming 🎉
You can raging demon after any demon flip option when they block (dive kick, overhead or slide). They can jab after the dive kick but i get so many people with this. Also demon after st.hk on block.
Another way to know when you got the fireball charged is that you will hear a bell ring when charged, youll also hear another bell when released, if done frame perfect itll be one sound
1-9 are directions (236 would be quarter circle forward 5 is neutral 8 is up and so on) L= light M= medium H= heavy K/P= kick or punch. People also use F for forward etc but it’s more common in tekken. OD(also called EX) is when you press 2 attack buttons simultaneously during a special move (qcf and 2 punch buttons gives OD hadouken)

I like this format cuz its unscripted and knowledge is still knowledge. Imo this is very clear and concise. Thanks Vesper👍

real
💯. Good point.

Keep the frame data on. It’s useful to see. Who’s not interested in frame data? Crazy fools.
After meaty fHP you get crMP which can go into OD Adamant and give you the world. Don’t cripple yourself with LK there bro

Another certified Vesper classic
Big Reads = Big Deeps 😆
This is exactly what I needed. I like Akuma but I'm feeling the lower health. He fun though
Vesper, will you produce these quality videos for Bison when he's out?
Dude, best Akuma guide out there!

This video gave me lots of ideas! THanks!
Glad I muted the stream for this. Perfect listen during my lunch break. 😁
This type of guide is great, thanks!
Super helpful, Vesper. Thanks for the deep dive.
Best Akuma guide ever!
od tatsu into whiff light tatsu side switches depending on how they roll but people usually dont roll because they expect a followup to pd tatsu
Thanks for the knowledge bro 🙌
Light Tatsu - heavy Tatsu works in the corner on everyone I believe
Yes!! Thanks
Forward heavy punch you can actually heart tatsu just gotta time it better
I’m still new to fighting games. At what points would you want to opt for a light combo, a medium combo or a heavy combo?
Depends on your starters, distance, and whether or not you counter hit or pc tbh
Sideswitch off DI clash back heavy and heavy fire punch just one hit
Back heavy kick-heavy fire punch. Doesn't work on big characters though
I saw Shuto sometimes use 4HK + 236P for pressure after 214LK > Cr.HK > 2x F.Dash. Is this safe with only +4 advantage?
It’s meant to blow up delayed tech and delayed normals but it does lose to wakeup jabs.
@@Phronesis59 thanks
how you land the lowkick before the overhead if your advantage is 3frames and the low is 4frames?
Good vid
Hell yes 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Lit
How you do overhead I am trying to but is not working for me some 1 can help me ?
Akuma’s teleport could have been his drive rush IMO,
That would have been cool. However, I am happy with the command grab option too
The one thing I do not enjoy, is that if you are a good player, and don't get hit a lot you cannot use ragging demon.... 🤨🤐
Once you get out of bronze you will have more chances
Yo
2nd hit of overheat is not an overhead
He is more deadly and powerful
Welp
That back heavy kick sucks Half of a puma's combos. You can't even use because it's not a good anti.Air at all
Tf are all these acronyms in the comments someone teach me😭
Which do you need help with?
@@Shinryuken15 yes

lol they glowed up Ken even though he’s a alleged terrorist, he looks as young as his alpha days. Ryu keeps stubble though. 😂
Akuma advance tip: after air fire ball ,jump again and throw ex air fire ball ..Rinse and repeat till nothing sticks lol..Autopilot ass character.
Zesty ahh comment
