Thank you Jacque for a wonderful episode! I swear I could smell the sheep-ishness right through my laptop!! I really enjoyed your "knit and chat" segment too!
Thank you for another fun and uplifting podcast. The video from the Sheep & Wool festival was such fun to watch. Don’t know how you managed to buy only one sweater quantity of yarn! I hope to go to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival in May 2025. I am a quilter also. I’ve combined my love of wool and quilting by making wool appliqué quilts. You may have seen some at the quilt festival.
I'm so glad the algorithm showed me your channel! I wanted to go to the festival so bad, it looks right up my alley. I couldn't make it with two babies by myself, but I'd love to join in your knitting community. Our little family moved up to milwaukee last year so I've been trying to get out and meet wholesome folks!
Great recap! I love your sheepskin, and the natural dark farm yarn was a great find. My strategy for shopping at WI Sheep & Wool is very similar - I take pictures to help me make future plans. At the end of my rounds, if there is something I really can’t stop thinking about and don’t think I’ll be able to buy it later, I may go back for it. I try to limit myself to 1-2 small impulse purchases and resist the limited/special editions.
This was nice. Thanks for keeping me company while I crocheted. 🧶 I grew up in a hunting family as well. 🦌 The Eva Cardigan is on my list as well. I'm knitting it in black. 🖤 I love going to quilt shows!
I just found your channel and enjoyed this episode a lot! I had hoped to make it to the Sheep & Wool festival last weekend but had conflicting plans and didn't end up being able to go, so it was nice to see some footage of it. I live in Oshkosh, but I thought it was funny when you mentioned KU, because I grew up less than 2 hours away from Lawrence 😄Thanks for sharing your experience of the two festivals!
Ahh so happy to see another Wisconsin knitter! I don’t have any knitters close to me and craving that! Couldn’t make it to Sheep & Wool this year but sounds like the perfect weather! Also appreciate your kindness & thoughtfulness about animals. I feel the same way ❤
Oh my gosh!! You saw Mitchell Wool Co. I'm about 10 miles from them in Michigan. Love their yarn, and their sweat shirts are the best!! Great summary and how fun that you shared it with friends. Love the way you explained your respect of the animals that provide us with food and fiber. Some of my family hunts, and my brother and SIL are ranchers in california. Trying to convince them to get sheep, but my brother won't build fences that high LOL
Mitchell Wool Co is soooo cool, I would love to get some of their stuff in the future!!!! So cool you are close to them. So funny about the high fences!
Thank you for sharing! I was out of town this sheep and wool weekend so it is awesome to see from your perspective. And I loved hearing your thoughts about your sheepskin! I am relatively new to the Madison area and am still trying to find my knitting community myself.. do you have any tips for meeting other knitters (bonus for younger-skewing events like twenties or thirties) in Madison?
Please, never rub your face on the wool or skeins like the girl in the video did. Even if it's just a second, she clearly was wearing make up and could have potentially stained the fibre. Other than that, I really enjoyed the video, thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much for every aspect of your thinking about animals, wool, our habits and what we have to be aware of when eating and consuming.
Absolutely. So important!
What a great weekend! Beautiful farm wool ❤
I wish you could feel it, too! 😊
I love the way you knit. I love to watch how you hold your yarn and the movement. Very neat to watch.
I’ll have to include more often 😊 Thanks for saying that.
Thank you Jacque for a wonderful episode! I swear I could smell the sheep-ishness right through my laptop!!
I really enjoyed your "knit and chat" segment too!
Thank you for saying that! Maybe I’ll do some more knit and chats in the future 😊
I love your honesty.
Thank you 💛 I think it’s important!

Yes absolutely! The Sow’s Ear has great classes, and it’s lovely to join the Madison Knitting Guild. Feel free to dm me on instagram as well.
I should have taken that kitten home with me!
You should have just started running
Hi! What was the name of the company you got your hide from??!! Would love to get one like that!
It’s truly gorgeous! It’s from Leicester Longwool Association
@@jacqueismaking awesome! Thank you!

Glad you’re here!
Thank you for sharing this. I love knitting so much. I enjoy your channel. Is your husband a hunter? I see the stag on the wall 😮
Yes he is! We eat wild game throughout the winters. 😊

That definitely makes sense. Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed the rest 😊
Sorry I don’t agree with hunting at all. 😢
That is totally ok!
I love the emotional and spiritual connection with your sheepskin and that your cat has also grown attached to it as well ❤
I was hoping I was coming across clear, but even my eyes were welling up! I feel so connected to it 🧡🐑
