Felix, I agree these videos are inspiring! It takes alot of patience on top of skill and creativity to do what you do. I think it would be a good video for children to get them away from thier electronic devises and open thier mind up to possibilities. As long as they are supervised by a responsible adult for safety. ( I am 55 and when I was a kid, I had a Swiss Army Knife and a buck knife. My step-dad gave me about 1/2 hour safety lesson. His biggest thing he drilled in my head was these where tools NOT weapons! From there on out I was left on my own) . Those where different times I guess. Anyway, lovecthe video Felix!

Hello Felix! What a fantastic project! Here's a little idea for something to put in the feeding station: Pour your leftover Speisefett with a spoonful of Haferflocken in a small Joghurteimer or something similar each time you cook and you'll have a home made Futterknödel!

I see this type of craft work alongside the creek footpath where I dog walk. There are birdhouses, stick people, animals and prehistoric monsters. My favourite find by the waters edge was a miniature birch bark canoe with a couple of stick people sitting around a stone circle filled with leaves to represent a fire. They catch you by pleasant surprise because you are not expecting to see them. I guess this is a great way to practice your knife skills and use your artistic expression to the benefit of many. I see many people taking pictures along side their newest find and everyone seems to bring food for the birdhouses.

After just an hour, the number of clicks differed by a factor of 3. I can't explain it... I don't understand my audience. Often the videos that I think don't work turn out well. Luckily I don't have to live from UA-cam.
@FelixImmler You are most welcome! I understand exactly what you mean about the UA-cam algorithm and the audience. I experienced the same difficulties and struggles as you do. Sometimes it's very difficult to figure out the audience and pinpoint exactly what they are interested in seeing.

Wow. Those seeds go everywhere! The birds are messy eaters! Need a way to keep the seeds dry and prevent them from being knocked all over, while also letting rain wash the bird poo away. Maybe some grooves in the floor panels... Hmm...

Looks like a fun project to try with your kids too. It does take a while for birds to find a new feeding station in a new location. Where I live, Raccoons and squirrels often find them more quickly than the birds -- until the birds learn where they are!

Once again I'll add comments as they occur to me.
Firstly, you make a great example of how to use wedges instead of battering the knife through a thick log. [Note: of course if one did have a BIG knife (like a Cold Steel Trail Master, one could easily baton all the way through with it.] Your way with wedges is very practical.
For making holes, the Venture Pro and kit is very useful. I also think that bit size selection would be crucial. Your use of the 12mm bit for this project is a better choice than the larger bit the kit comes with. (For practical use I would have a selection of say 4 bits would cover most needs).
A good project for demonstrating how versatile the knife system actually is!

Tolle handwerkliche Leistung und echt nachahmenswert.
Hatte mal ein "Vogelhäuschen" mit großen Topfuntersetzern, einem Besenstiel und einem Meter hölzernem Rundstab gebastelt, auch ohne sonstige Befestigungsmaterialien zu verwenden.
Die Sauerei, die die Vögel dann an so einer Futterstation hinterlassen, ist schon bemerkenswert. 😊
Danke für den wertvollen Hinweis. Bei dieser Futterstation müssen die Vögel das Korn aus den Loch im Speicher picken. Ich glaube so kann man die Sauerei in Grenzen halten 😊

Interessant ist dann die Vielfallt der Verschiedenen Vogelarten. Außer Spatzen, Meisen und Amseln gibts da echt noch tolles anderes Federzeug.
Felix, almost everybody here in Czechia who knows Victorinox also knows you and watches your channel before going to sleep as lullaby. Smaller kids make happy their mothers with going to sleep with your lullaby soon, but their husbands watching you later by night-time make them a little bit disappointed... 🙂

Can't get a venture so miss the sole "all you need is a SAK" videos
Instead of a Venture you can take any other fixed blade. For example a cheap Mora. That will work also..

Du bohrst ja schneller, als ein Holzwurm gucken kann. Ja, die Vögel fordern ihren Anteil am Wohlstand. Sie suchen die Futterstelle vom Vorjahr. Ich habe noch keine Lösung für die Verhinderung der Mitfütterung von Mäusen gefunden. Für diese ist nämlich unterhalb des Strauches oder Baumes, wo die Vögel ihre Körner aufpicken, ein Schlaraffenland. Gruß Karl.
Da gibt es kleine Tüten vom Hornbach, in der Ungezieferabteilung. Die fressen das Zeug (ist blau), dann platzen sie. Hocheffizient.

Schlaraffenland für alle.. was willst Du mehr? 😊 Aber die Mäuse können ja nicht fliegen. Kannst Du nicht das Futter aufhängen?
@@FelixImmler Machte ich ja. Aber den Vögeln fällt beim Aufpicken circa 50 % hinunter. Und genau an diesen Stellen haben sich die Mäuse Löcher gegraben, sodass ihnen das Futter gleich ins Loch fällt. Gruß Karl.
@@karlbesser1696 Oder du hängst eine sehr grosse Schüssel unter dein (schwebendes?) Vogelhaus. Oder du machst einen Rand an das Häuschen, eine Kante oder eine kleine Barriere.
