I haven't seen these birds anywhere in any documentary or video. You truly have done the impossible.
It’s on Netflix and have birds in colors too so beautiful
Never seen
Guess you didn't watch Plant Earth. They have some of the funniest mating behavior. Almost on par with human males.
🇮🇩From Indonesia. Papua Island.
I've seen them multiple times on PBS's Nature.
I appreciate everything you went through to bring us that beautiful bird and its awesome dance. Thank you sir. You did a great job!
Love this bird,Love Papua 🇮🇩🇵🇬
These birds are fond of playing with their forest mates.
3:22 I was really overwhelmed when he dances and you explained that he practices when there is no female...so beautiful🤩👌
Wonderful 🥰 truly in love with this channel .
Yep❤❤
I'm from Papua New Guinea.. We are from the western part with almost all of the type of bird of paradise..My ancestors believed that when and if you caught a Bird of paradise dancing especially the black and blue one dancing to attract female, then you'll disappear and end up some where you've never been. It can be half way around the globe...
People still believe this until today with the invasion of technology and civilization, it's fading.
I watch BBC EARTH EVERY SATURDAY. I have seen all the shows. You & your team do a great job bringing all the wonderful things on our planet together!!
So interesting to hear the behind the scenes!
@@JNL37Dyxce5 Wow! Thanks for sharing!
these birds are very magnificent for real💯💫
I knew about the sheer number of hours that went into capturing these sequences, but I had no idea that such an iconic sequence had such an emotional rollercoaster behind it! Thank you so much for sharing. I never would have expected the talent of David Attenborough to have career-saving magic!
We could see these gorgeous birds and scenes thanks to you and the excellent team~💯❣️
Thank you for sharing these behind stories~🤗👍

👏😁Wow! That's equally as amazing as the "birds of paradise" being the amount of prep & effort by the cameraman to capture these awesome events & shows the birds put on for each other😜👍 I'm even more appreciative & entertained now knowing what actually goes on behind the scenes of a lot of these nature channels. Honestly never realized that the best clips of these animals were achieved by them not even knowing at all any humans were around them; I figured that most of them were at some level just tolerant of the film crews & fairly comfortable around them.
Salute you for photographing all these incredible moments .
That beautiful black bird knows magic and how to change his appearance in two seconds. Master of disguise. 😂. Beautiful, unique bird.
How can you not like it if you see something like this...I am a bird lover but this is something extraordinary. Mesmerizing! 😊
30 days of hard work for 7 mins the dedication is amazing! Thank you for being out there!
These birds are definitely from another planet! They are absolutely wonderful, a luxury to be able to see these beauties, very good job, thank you.
This is beautiful! Thank you cameraman!
For me bird of paradise are one of the most beautiful and gorgeous creatures on Earth!
They are truly made by the God!🥰❤
Thank you BBC for keeping your channel open with comments.
i think there's more to these birds than humans can comprehend, there's a whole other dimension out there that we're completely unaware of.
“Career ending blunder” 3 emmys and multiple baftas later and he’s still going strong 😂. What a talent!
Magic, thank you!
Are you a animal lover 🐕🐈🐒🐇🐦🦃?

Thanks for the video
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
World is beautiful
Amazing!!!❤❤❤
I'm sure it was a very trippy experience filming these beautifully weird birds.
Planet Earth was released back in 2006. Interesting to see the actual cameraman's commentary on this segment.
Those 7 minutes were good enough to save your career. Cheers! :D
Wow what a wonderful bird
سبحان الله حركاتهم عجيبة الألوان سبحان الله في خلقه
What an interesting man. Great video
So many people want to meet Sir David Attenborough, but these are the guys that have the best stories. I would much rather spend time talking with them...
amazing thank you for your hard work
Creator is amazing , its creation demonstrate his beauty 🌹
The inside of the males mouth is also colored ... i just find it amazing that the male, being ultra beautiful coupled with the drab female, that the chicks don't come out in muted colors! No mottled areas on the male... just fantastic!
You couldn't tell very easily, but when the male has his wings up and puts his head on one 'shoulder' and then on the other 'shoulder'. What this video didn't show, is the bird will do that move over and over, again and again!
Sad that the birds are hunted for their feathers... maybe conservation will happen one day!
Thank you for the video, it was interesting to hear the 'behind the scene' actions. Carry your equipment, while tramping all over the jungle, just doesn't seem to be my cup of tea! So glad someone else drinks!
amazing footage
Thanks this cheered me up today thanks much love xoxox

I knew this bird, bcoz' they lived in our forest too, North Moluccas, Indonesia.
Does it look like someone's using the bird in the thumbnail like a puppet? Or is that just me?

Papua island in indonesia is paradise
Indonesia 🇮🇩 birds.. 👍
Papua made in indonesia♥🙏
male also bueatifull. like lion deer 🦌
I am so early
If you love your bird you will let it go
Subhan Allah
Every effort by males to attract females is visually very impressive. Some even make particular noise with feathers (?). Doesn't that cause an undesired outcome from predators? There must be a little secret elaborated by nature as usual.
Con chim thật kỳ lạ nhưng rất đẹp
