And even if you don't like entire albums, they still released some kick ass songs that rival anything they put out during their peak. Even now, Dave still writes some great songs. And the band he's had for the last few years has been the best lineup since the 90's. They are tighter than ever, and Kiko, Dirk, and James are top notch musicians. I get that some fans dropped off with Megadeth once Dave was passed his manic drug induced style of writing. But, I think if he kept writing RIP over and over, they wouldn't have the longevity they have. And just like every band that has a masterpiece in their catalog, every other album gets compared to it unfairly.
Obviously we need a Rick Beato "What makes this song great" breakdown of this classic. Great job! I think the 10 minute format gives much more room for things to get fleshed out, and the results show!
