The secret of their success is the 2 leads chemistry and the great supporting cast, all of them, so yes a family. This is a fun action show with lots of heart set in Hawaii!

We'll watch anything filmed in Hawaii. I wish they would employ more Hawaiian actors. There are plenty of them. I remember Ironsides when his secretary was the fabulous singer, Karen Keawehawaii and also Moe Keale. 5-0 had Bumpy Kanahele & from the original show, Al Harrington. I can do w/o the fancy cars. I remember Perdita Weeks from "The Rag Nymph" where she is the child and her sister, Honeysuckle Weeks (Foyle's War) plays that character as an adult. They were spitting images. Actually, we'll watch this season Magnum on repeats because we really like East New York, even tho it is not set in Hawaii.

Perdita Weeks is not wrong… I was so confused and angry when the show went off the air. I thought to myself are they crazy one of the best shows on television canceled??? I thought for sure the world was evil because they keep such garbage and then cancel a show that makes you feel good. Well a miracle it's back and it is truly a feel-good show this is what television is supposed to be. Not shows that show you the grim evil dark side of everything that just sucks your soul

I think he was just cheching if he was blocking the view with his back, especially Jay's head, which he kind of did but nothing major ofc.
