      Note: From the days of a womans father negotiating the dowry with potential suitors all the way up until today, women have made terrible decisions involving thier futures. Women think an 80 hour work week where you have sex to get promoted, and you lie in bed and cry yourself to sleep all alone, is empowering. Can't wait to see what women come up with next.

      Me too. I had my son and daughter late in life. They are both happily married and successful. I went back to my career shortly after they were born and worked full time as did my husband. We were fortunate to have in home child care at a very nice place. We are still friends with her. Our daughter has 3 sons ages 7 and under with a daughter on the way in four weeks. They wanted a large family. My daughter is a stay at home mom and works harder than I did with a job. Home schooled for preschool, cooks, cleans, gardens, does the yard care, volunteers at her church and is involved with her community. Her husband is an amazing father and a wonderful man. They decided together that she would stay home until the kids are older and make it on one income. I admire her so much she's the mom I wish I could have been.

      I tried to explain this to younger women who actually were planning a pregnancy and having kids with no partner. It's like some Hollyweird script that tells us this is glamorous and empowering. Well, I lived it, and no, no it isn't. At least have some damn help. This is NOT a solo role! Please, people don't plan to raise kids alone. It's a terrible plan. (Unless you have money to pay people for the roles you both play, and even then, how does that usually work out for the kid?)
      Caveat: Unless you are being used and abused (in any way). You are the priority at this point and will have to do it alone. I feel for the thousands who are dealing with this!!

    07:00 - My wife is a housewife - it’s brilliant, she’s happy, the house is always in good shape, she has minimal stress, the kids are happy and well looked after. We all get home cooked food at a fraction of the cost of the ready made rubbish. I’ve always said, if she ever want to get a job she can - but she knows she’s on to a good thing and isn’t about to trade it all in to earn a pittance. Meanwhile, because the house is in good order, I can do better at my job and earn enough for all of us to live in comfort. Only ever take advice from someone who is successful and happy.

    • @bunny_0288
      @bunny_0288 2 роки тому +30

      @@sunsetanimator4187 Most people can live on one salary, but it takes sacrifices. My husband and I have done it our entire marriage. Even when he didn't make much money. But we decided when we got married that we would always budget our lives on what he made. Any money I make is "extra" and goes towards things we want not our basic living expenses. So me working has always been optional. We drove used cars, lived in smaller and cheaper places, bought or received second hand clothes/furniture, ate at home, and we had a strict budget. But it was the smartest thing we have ever done. The issue is that most people don't want to make the sacrifices to their lifestyle that are necessary to achieve this. And part of that sacrifice might be moving to an area with a lower cost of living. Or downsizing. Or figuring out a way to further your career to make more money. Or to switch careers. Insurance adjusters are in high demand and it's a job that pays good money and doesn't require a college degree. Only a certification. But it's all about what you value more and what is important to you as a family.

    LOVED the 50’s mom! Stay at home moms sacrifice a lot in life, It can be very hard at times, but when the kids are grown, the benefits are immense. They knew you were there for them when they were sick, sad, and needed someone to talk to. I taught them practical skills like how to read, draw, garden, drive, hiking, fishing, how to safely shoot a gun. Just like my mother did. We didn’t have a lot of money, but the greatest gift you can give your children is TIME. My husband and I agreed we would buy less and invest in our kids. We traveled, had fun, and I’ll always know we made the right choice, because our kids are fantastic adults, independent and thriving in this crazy world. My husband and I are happily together over 40 years. Feminists are selfish, have more stress, heart attacks, etc… just to drive fancier cars, wear fancy clothes, and try to act like men.

    The 50s wife part had me chuckling so much! When my parents met, my mom was a single mother who supported herself and my oldest brother, because that’s what had to be done to make life work. She met my dad and they got married. I was one of six kids, and my parents made the decision together for my mom to stay at home with us and homeschool ALL of us. I didn’t know it, but that decision was very hard financially on both of my parents for a long time. Every day, my mom educated us, loved us, met all of our needs, kept the house absolutely stunning and I never heard her complain once. My dad provided for us and I watched his daily appreciation for my mom and her appreciation for him. As an adult now, I respect and recognize that my mom kept the same care and drive for us, our dad, and our home that she did when she had to support herself at work. Her intentions were always strong, driven and led with care, regardless of what her “workplace” looked like. I do have a few extreme feminists friends who judge me for what I want in my future. Right now, I’m a single woman, have a great job, and own my own house. Cool. I’m proud of that hard work. However, if I have a future husband and we make a decision together for me to be home with our kids, I will GLADLY and gratefully take it. It’s a financial blessing if you’re able to stay home. It is a lot of work to take on, but that would us so much more fulfilling (to me) than working my 9-5, barely seeing my future children/husband, and having almost no time to maintain my home. Needless to say, I don’t mind people judging me for wanting to be just like my mother. ❤ she’s the strongest woman I know, and I’m grateful for the childhood I was given because of my parents’ sacrifices.

    I am a sixty-three-year old woman, who worked outside the home for many years and loathed it. I felt as if I was letting my husband, my son and my home down. No one instilled these values in me, I've just always been blessed with them. When I decided to quit working outside the home, I gained a sense of peace and so did my family. Yes, things were very, very tight (financially wise), but for my son to have someone here when he came home from school, for my husband to have me here when he got home from work - to a clean house, dinner on the table... was a blessing all around. There is something to be said for earning the money to maintain a household, but all too often the aspects of who maintains that household on a daily basis is forgotten or belittled. Old fashioned? Hell yeah and we'd do it exactly the same all over again because even though we never had much money, we had love, support, companionship and a home deeply blessed. I respect women who wish to work outside the home, I really do... as for myself, give me that 1950's way (the life I lead) any day!

      Truthfully as I read your thoughts and reflect upon my mother raising us kids I absolutely can relate to and respect your thoughts. On the other hand my mother being a single mom of 4 raising us kids on a waitresses income I am glad that some of the changes happened. If they hadn't changed things would have likely been vastly different for our mother trying to raise us. My mother is a very independent, no nonsense woman who is definitely not a fan of feminism in its modern iteration. This is a topic that my wife and I have discussed many a time because we both have a more traditional set of values. One conclusion that we have come to together is that the biggest issue we face is respect. The most current iteration of feminism teaches little girls that they don't need to respect themselves or thier partners while concurrently teaching young men that they have to simp and elevate women above themselves and basically just be walking wallets. That element of mutual respect and care for one's self and spouse has been removed. My wife has been judged for wanting to he a wife mother and homemaker but she has not let that dissuade her. She also wanted to work in a field where she can do so from home allowing her to meet her primary family goals. And I can truly say that she is an absolute blessing and amazing at all those things. We both work and.we both share in the domestic chores, typically doing them together whenever possible. But despite the economic and social state of the world we have in many regards managed to maintain traditional values in a mostly traditional marriage.

    That 50's vs 2022 is spot on. I am sure that, just as I discovered almost too late about the joys of motherhood, eventually the woke women of the West will come to their senses and decide a traditional marriage and raising a family is a pretty rewarding way of life. Most women in a relatively happy marriage enjoy raising children with the man who fathered them.
    The ladder one is amazing. I heard of another case where a guy got into the Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art and installed his own artwork (tiny paintings on plug inlet covers) without being bothered just by having a tool box and wearing one of those bright yellow vests and a hard hat.

      It was pretty good. I've interviewed women who got married in the 50s and late 40s. They felt a deep sense of duty to care for their kids and home. Feminists like to go off about women being unable to own property and get loans. Well you can't get approved for a loan if you have no job and no credit history. One change they don't talk about, aside from the points in the clip, is the change in divorce law. Women were more likely to have sole custody. They would also be awarded alimony *for the life of the ex-husband.* (Probably because it was assumed the ex-wife wouldn't be able to provide for herself and the courts probably didn't want to provide for her.) They still had difficult things to deal with, but the law will never be completely fair for every case.

    I live in Southern CA (I'm one of the good ones). We have been going through quite a heat wave. And this is 100% accurate. We have been getting notifications asking us to not use so much energy, or we will be subjected to rotating outages to conserve energy. No joke. I've gone through 2 rounds of outages over the last few days. Ridiculous. But ban gas! Everyone buy electric! What a joke!

    I love that feminist video. I'm glad there are still some women who realize that "liberation" isn't all it's cracked up to be. What these other women lack is a man who actually respects what she does. A woman has a great and respectful role in the household and should not be made to feel second class.

    • @charmainecooper6784
      @charmainecooper6784 2 роки тому +4

      Therein lies the problem. Too many big egos got in the way and women became tired of being looked at without appreciation or consideration. So then they started showing men that they too can do what the men do and provide for the household. Now we are stuck having to choose between families or work and though the cycle of this was created from men making women feel less than they are, and this should have been an eye opener movement for men, now kts a prison of womens own choosing. Sad as hell.... Im a highly independent female. Yet i also CHOOSE to be a stay at home mom, i also get APPRECIATED by my family. Thats the difference that makes it worth it all.

      It is sooo hard to meet men who don't look down on you when you're a stay at home mom. I was fortunate enough to be able to continue being one after my husband died and the way you get talked to, looked at and treated the moment you tell someone....

Men didn't do it becoz they wake up and thought we have penis we have to build an aeroplane. This is why feminism will fail putting gender before passion . Men put passion first ,gender comes after . It's not lession for men , only man who gives a crap or wants an independent women is a man who can't earn for himself . Women will acheive great things when it's not seen as a competition with men and when they stop blaming men .
