I also started to collect Bibles starting December last year. It was not my intention to collect, but after watching good reviews of specific Bibles, I also wanted to have my own copy since I lead a Bible study group. You are correct, all the Bibles are different, esp. Study Bibles and it gives me great joy to go deeper in my study of the Word of God. I use all the new Bibles I bought, esp. if I need to compare translations. In some Bibles, I read in the Old Testament, in some I read in the New Testament. I have two more Bibles arriving - the Thrive Devotional Bible and an ESV Journaling Bible - and they will definitely be read and used, too.
I have several Bibles, but I only use the KJV on a regular basis. It's what I am comfortable with and I enjoy it. I have ordered a KJV journaling Bible so that I can write my notes a little easier AND ACTUALLY READ WHAT I WROTE.!! Getting older and my eyesight is getting worse. LOL! But growing closer and closer to Jesus. AMEN! God Bless!!

Loved the video, thanks for sharing. It was funny I had to show my husband, I told him look and you thought I had a lot!! I do and love them all, the study Bibles are my favorite, they’re just packed with so much information.
I'm a bible collector/hoarder, too, and probably shouldn't have watched this. It just makes me want more! I hadn't even heard of the Berean Study Bible translation before this; looks interesting, may have to check into that.
The versions I use the most are the 1611 KING JAMES, the 1966 Catholic Ed. of the REVISED STANDARD, the 1966 GOOD NEWS, and the 2006 2nd edition of the Catholic REVISED STANDARD. I would grant the ESV and NKJV HONORABLE MENTION. The HCBS is also really good because of its cross reference usefulness.
I was able to order the Interleaved Revelation Study Guide on Amazon about an hour ago. So excited. Will be delivered on Saturday. This is the one from Nicki.

I have to have large type bible so that limits me. I tried to move on from the nlt but it just seems to talk to me. It is so easy to read and I like the way they say scripture. I even print parallel bibles. I couldn't find the versions I wanted and I mess up I can just reprint it. I only found one miss leading verse so far in the nlt.

Nicki your collection is wonderful! Though I do certainly understand the nature of having an overabundance! I'm so grateful and thankful that you are back doing videos regularly! I'm glad that you are healthy and that your family is all doing better! I am looking for a recommendation for a Bible I can share with my daughter. She's only 18 months old currently, but she already has shared my absolute love of reading and I try to read to her daily from the bible. If you have any recommendations on a good Bible that would be something I could share with her as she's growing up and then give her eventually when she's old enough, that would be wonderful! I know there are many kids Bibles out there, but definitely something of substance that she can look back on when she's older and hopefully have some good memories of growing up reading the Bible with me.

The best is the NIV Quest bible you showed . Great one to have . We get them from thrift book's site. They are used but in really good condition and well made , older one but it's the most requested one when we give away for newbies who want a bible study to start with. Love all your bibles you have.

I just love it and you!🥰The scripture journals have been on my list for a while now, my favorite book of the Bible is proverbs💕 I tend to write really large, so having space not only on the same page as scripture, but also a full page next to each of those, sounds just perfect!😊 That is what I also absolutely LOVE about the ones you have created! You should have a KJV in the collection. It isn't the same as the NKJV and is a must have if you are a serious bible student....Many will not have anything else.😂
Nicki, Hey. The one you showed had a really neat highlighting system. Do you have a video on that system?? The colors and the post-its matched based off your highlights.
That was a process that I was working on called PROJECT GROW. The Lord put a hold on it so I have not ever finished or officially taught it. Basically I highlight based on the parts of speech. Noun, adjective, pronouns, verbs, etc. Each with a different color. It's very labor intensive but is kind of neat!!

I am sending all my Spiritual Shepherds this question: I need a Bible reading plan for a 9yr old to start in his Bible? He has no idea about any of the Bible other than things we talk to him about. So we need a guide for him as a new believer. Thank you God Bless
I would just go through the Book of Mark with him at first. It's short and easy to understand. Then maybe read Acts, then Genesis and Exodus. The letters 1 Cor- Rev would be hard for a nine year old until he gets the basics of the gospel (Mark), & church history (Acts). And Genesis and Exodus have lots of action and interaction stories which will help engage him 💖💖

Very good question!! I don't dislike her at all. I think she's very encouraging. I just wouldn't use her Bible commentary vs a scholar. So I love my AMP Bible. But not because of her notes, just because I like the AMP translation. Hope that helps!!

A truly dedicated Believer. I can read the Bible in the original Hebrew and Greek but her tools she uses are great for a serious believer.

Start with John or Matthew or one of the letters. Keep it simple. Focus on Christ 💕

Yes it’s very similar to ESV, NKJV, LSB. I’m very particular about my translation and I find this one very reliable.
