I just tried that guitar at my guitar shop and it was so awesome, love has, can play rock/metal, great clean tones, locking tuners so good

I've never liked pickup rings so the clean routing definitely has my attention!
I loved those tuners, the bass string has a taller post than the thin strings, it actually helps a lot. I would've loved a dark fingerboard, maybe rosewood. Still looks SO good!
The model in dolphin gray has a rosewood fretboard.
Just ordered the dolphin gray .It definitely is hot 🔥 the white one with rosewood neck is nice too . Can't wait to get it in a couple of days. Hearing more and more great things about these guitars

I’ve gotten much better at guitar since getting married! Me time is important for everyone.. my wife is a stellar human being, but everyone needs their own thing that they can do by themselves to decompress from the stresses of life.
I genuinely feel bad for people in the “your life is now over” relationships. My wife is the same as yours. If I wanna go play, I go play. If she wants me time she goes and has it.

The Aerodyne already has a history and Fender is not the only one. Gibson has launched MANY different variations of the Les Paul lately

Welcome back, Mister Greenberg! Tummy cut? The joke on that years ago was, "The first year, they'll be living on love." After that the belly carve may come into play. I concur with Cooper: "We need to get the youth involved and engaged." Kids do not want to hang with people their grandparents age, and maybe not their parents' age either. Show 'em the Aerodyne, or newer acoustics, excuse me, guitars that their heroes are using. I've been looking at a Masterclass guitar by Kim Breedlove... I could possibly find a new latch to replace the broken one in the case... and exercise some other hand tools that my younger generations should know... The road goes on forever...
I played one yesterday. I really dislike Strats. But I loved this one. The only thing that would make it better is a hotter bridge pickup.
And even hotter one? Damn, and I was considering the SSS version for hard rock and metal stuff

Agreed, this guitar is very much the budget Showmaster. Weirdly, they produced multiple Showmasters for Squier.

Could you tell me how strong the humbucker on this one is? I love the guitar overall and I hope that the humbucker could handle metal. Not talking about extreme djenty stuff, but let's say a megadeth song from the 80? Would that work without sounding different in an awkward(!) way? Tele deluxe humbuckers suck, that's why I'm asking. I also thought about switching the single coils to lace sensors, cause man I love that blue lace tone overdriven

Edit: I couldn't justify owning 2 just cause they're different colors so I modded one with fender pure vintage 57/62 pickups so I could say they're different, the modded one sounds much better

I’ve owned the Fender Ultra Luxe ($$$$), Fender AmPro II ($$), played Suhr’s and other expensive strat style guitars and for me the Aerodyne was the best! It had a cool vibe, played and sounded fantastic and was the least expensive. It has a wider nut width (43mm) and a 12 inch radius so it plays a little more modern. Give it a try!
Just to add, my experience is that the fit and finish of the Made in Japan Aerodyne is miles ahead of the others, and beats the American version on features and build quality. You simply get more and a better instrument for your money, if you dig how it looks.

What's fit and finish' I hear that All the time and nobody ever explains it' is it just a term guitar players came up with and everybody wants to use it?
Fit and finish for me means that there are no sharp fret ends, no blemishes, no uneven frets or dead spots on the fretboard, the nut is properly cut, proper intonation, electronics are properly wired without corners cut, and so on. I had a $2500+ Fender Ultra Luxe that had lacquer covering some of the stainless frets as well as a faulty tone switch, two examples of poor fit and finish on such an expensive guitar. The aerodyne was flawless.
The Fender AmPro II I had was nice but the nut wasn’t cut very well and as such the guitar didn’t keep in tune very well. Again, a little more time spent on “fit and finish” in making sure the instrument had more care given to it would’ve made for a better guitar.
I love the MIJ Aerodyne Strats with the pickguard, but this one doesn't look good to me. Its too smooth looking.

I hate pick guards and it's one of the reasons why I've never even thought of buying a fender. So kudos to them for getting rid of them on this model. Why pay big money for Good Wood only to have it covered by plastic?

how good is the tremolo? You guys don't demo it why? Will a chord stay in tune with itself when detuned by the Whammy (like an actual Strat will NOT)?
The trem is the best I’ve ever played. I have the 3 single coil version. Just got it. I have 20+ guitars of all models. This is the easiest to play, the best tremolo and plays rock and metal as well as my Ibanez, schechter, Jackson and Les Paul’s. I’m a mostly blues player and I may never play another guitar. Straight into tubes this thing is so clean but plays breakup points and full distortion beautifully. It’s unreal.
I like these, but probably not enough to get instead of a more conventional Fender strat. Price wise these sit at the same level as the JV modified strat, which is the one I think I would rather get instead.
haha yeah but now you're only a couple hundred away from an American performer. It's a slippery slope :p
You're right, the pricing is craftily designed to keep you considering the next tier. Fortunately, the jumbo frets on the performers are a handbrake for me.
American Performer has humongous frets, so beware if you don't like Jumbos.

its ok but not a big seller, stick to normal mainstream teles strats that the company is known for, its like going to mcdonalds and ordering a salad when the company is known for junk not healthy food even though obviously we know one is good for us

I paid just over a grand for the sss. Now that I have it I’d give twice that or more. Squier isn’t in the same universe.
