John Doe if you’re making The same mistake me and my friends made you have to check if it is a three star and if it’s a three star kill it with your lasso and knife but some animals you need certain ammo for certain weapons
@@JohnDoe-zw8vx you're just not close enough, you need to be almost next to the animal to have the kill prompt, watch your stamina tho, lassoing animal drains your stamina, make sure you don't ran out of stamina while lassoing.
The best way to buy ammo is to buy as much as you like in your handheld catalog and then visit the post office and "collect all" since ammo can only be bought in certain multiples, you will often waste money buying ammo at the store. (For example you can only hold 5 more, but you can only buy 20 at a time) if you use the handheld catalog, you get all 20 and you pull out the 5 from the post office leaving the other 15 there for when you need them later, but you can have hundreds stored like that at a time. Edit: and since there's post offices pretty much everywhere including some places where you CAN'T buy ammo, this method makes restocking that much easier

For new players, try to play before 2pm eastern as thats when all the 15 year old immature punks get on(because school is out at that time),and since they are broke children they cant just buy a new game so they are stuck being lvl 80 with nothing to do but greif you. Also if someone kills you more than once, DO NOT talk to them,simply hop server,their entire existence is based on you affirming to them that they made you mad, dont give them any satisfaction just jump servers. You can also report a player for disruptive behavior which includes griefing. After they are reported a few times they will end up in the griefer lobbies.

A minor point, you can actually get yourself THREE carcasses while hunting. You can put on your horse as normal, then calm a wild horse and put one on IT (you'll need to ride the wild one), then drag a third.

One thing: with the outfits, there are often unique items or items that unlock with the outfit way before being unlocked individually. For example, The Mercer that unlocks at 60-something has the Bison Coat that doesn’t unlock until somewhere in the 90s. So the outfits are still nice to buy.
If someone kills you for no reason, dedicate your time to following them everywhere and constantly killing them until they quit the server. Preferably wait for them to stock up on pelts or when they're half way into a stranger quest.
67 was wrong, if you can’t see the hats selected make sure you change your outfit on the horse menu and then you will get the selection of hats that you have stored on your horse in the wardrobe
instead of doing a parlay with a player you can also work hard to get level 50 and unlock slippery bastard so you could become a walking "no aim assist" lobby for both u and the enemy.

I don't kniw what this guy's talking about. Don't skimp out on horse insurance. Without it you pay $4 every time it dies. Think about it... Your horse is going to die hundreds, if not thousands of times throughout the games life. Paying $125 one time will save you THOUSANDS in the long run.
yea for example, if you have the arabian red chest nut (or wtf its called) its an good option to buy insurance for it because its the best horse for a long time you will be playing because the high tier arabians are locked at lvl 90 or some shit
so Im rank 38 and in over 50 hours of gametime, my horse just died once. If you dont fall off cliffs or mountains like jimmi no thumb, then youll never need something like that
Are you serious? I don't care what anyone says, this game is shit, especially online. It nowhere compares to the original (which is still fun by the way). The game is about punishing the player....also the way things are set up doesn't even make sense for them as a business. For instance its mostly the ugly clothes that is worth gold and you have to level up super high to even buy it.....Same with the horses. In single player you are encouraged to collect every horse and horse coat in game (there is a literal achievement for it) and yet you only get 4 horses? I at least thought that when you beat the game you could have way more horse stalls. Some of the design decisions are just bizarre.

Tip 51 : If you dont want to decrease your honor you can quick join missions via the player menu (left on the d-pad) You will then join random missions. Sooner or later you will join the missions that require low honor. Hope it helps out a litle ;)
Number 7 was fixed. The stowed animal on your horse won’t disappear while fast traveling anymore, instead if it’s perfect or good it will become poor after fast traveling
87 isn't true. I think it's Rohodes's gunsmith if you throw a molotov at the side it'll burn into the place and blow up explosives in there that can kill griefers when they try to hide there after getting a kill on you
For 19, make sure you calm the horse before looting the saddlebag or else you'll get kicked by the horse and probably die, if you are low level. #35 best tip ever didnt know you could equip your knife
Another tip: if you're able your horse and want to jump on it, jump towards it and if you land on it you'll automatically sit up on the horse this is particularly helpful for trains, the coal carts are the perfect height

Number 4 is wrong. Don’t use a wagon. Carry little bits at a time because of the following reasons: 1. You lose connection and then everything will go 2. You get ambushed and killed by grieffers and they take it all. You lose it. 3. Online isn’t a fully updated mode yet and so your wagon will glitch and scatter everything all over the map from Narnia to Pluto
Justin G nah some of us actually like it and have long been done with the story. I’ve beat it twice. After you do everything it just becomes a murder simulator, not that that’s bad cause it’s definitely fun, but the single player economy and progression becomes a joke the further along you get. Yes online is a grind, but I much prefer having a white Arabian and silver weapons online than in single player where no matter what, you will be rich after you kill Micah.

If your working as a trader go to your handheld catalogue and order lots of ammo for each gun around 1000 is good because you refill your ammo at your camps lockbox
The was incredibly useful, particularly the companion app, lassoing/dragging second carcass, escaping a lasso and quick horse bonding all of which i started using right away.
A very good tip: always use Lancaster and rolling Block, most people will use a shotgun and you can yoink them by using a sniper while they have their stupid shotgun which won't help them
99% old videos and information that has already been widely known from story mode, a good video but should have been exclusively about online mode and not just a rehash of already known information
I know this video is more than a few months old and some of it is out of date but i figure'd i'd add one you missed. If a griefer steals your horse, you can call it back through the stable menu. The horse will knock them off and come back to you. By default, the horse will do this anyways once the griefer gets a certain distance.. but if he decides to stick close to you or you catch him fast enough, the horse will buck him and you can finish him off in the time it takes to recover.
"Use healing items to heal" "Headshot enemies to kill them" "Try using dodge to avoid things" Are you... being serious? That's a lot of fluff points that are just basics the game already explains to you just to get your video to the desired amount of tips for ad revenue.
Its for beginners. If someone is new to games at all those would all be useful things to know. Like a new player would think the torso is an easier target, or they didnt know dodge existed, of they forget about their healing items like I did
I always feel like first person, non-iron sights is the best for PVP since the sights always stay straight and not affected by fatigue. Using iron sights is awful in this game though

One thing: with the outfits, there are often unique items or items that unlock with the outfit way before being unlocked individually. For example, The Mercer that unlocks at 60-something has the Bison Coat that doesn’t unlock until somewhere in the 90s. So the outfits are still nice to buy.

67 was wrong, if you can’t see the hats selected make sure you change your outfit on the horse menu and then you will get the selection of hats that you have stored on your horse in the wardrobe

I don't kniw what this guy's talking about. Don't skimp out on horse insurance. Without it you pay $4 every time it dies. Think about it... Your horse is going to die hundreds, if not thousands of times throughout the games life. Paying $125 one time will save you THOUSANDS in the long run.

yea for example, if you have the arabian red chest nut (or wtf its called) its an good option to buy insurance for it because its the best horse for a long time you will be playing because the high tier arabians are locked at lvl 90 or some shit

Are you serious? I don't care what anyone says, this game is shit, especially online. It nowhere compares to the original (which is still fun by the way). The game is about punishing the player....also the way things are set up doesn't even make sense for them as a business. For instance its mostly the ugly clothes that is worth gold and you have to level up super high to even buy it.....Same with the horses. In single player you are encouraged to collect every horse and horse coat in game (there is a literal achievement for it) and yet you only get 4 horses? I at least thought that when you beat the game you could have way more horse stalls. Some of the design decisions are just bizarre.

Rockstar made it so carcasses and pelt stay on your horse when you fast travel
Tip 51 : If you dont want to decrease your honor you can quick join missions via the player menu (left on the d-pad) You will then join random missions. Sooner or later you will join the missions that require low honor. Hope it helps out a litle ;)

Number 7 was fixed. The stowed animal on your horse won’t disappear while fast traveling anymore, instead if it’s perfect or good it will become poor after fast traveling

For 19, make sure you calm the horse before looting the saddlebag or else you'll get kicked by the horse and probably die, if you are low level.

Another tip: if you're able your horse and want to jump on it, jump towards it and if you land on it you'll automatically sit up on the horse this is particularly helpful for trains, the coal carts are the perfect height

Number 4 is wrong. Don’t use a wagon. Carry little bits at a time because of the following reasons:
1. You lose connection and then everything will go
2. You get ambushed and killed by grieffers and they take it all. You lose it.
3. Online isn’t a fully updated mode yet and so your wagon will glitch and scatter everything all over the map from Narnia to Pluto
The only tip you need is to just play story mode instead
Justin G nah some of us actually like it and have long been done with the story. I’ve beat it twice. After you do everything it just becomes a murder simulator, not that that’s bad cause it’s definitely fun, but the single player economy and progression becomes a joke the further along you get. Yes online is a grind, but I much prefer having a white Arabian and silver weapons online than in single player where no matter what, you will be rich after you kill Micah.

A very good tip: always use Lancaster and rolling Block, most people will use a shotgun and you can yoink them by using a sniper while they have their stupid shotgun which won't help them
99% old videos and information that has already been widely known from story mode, a good video but should have been exclusively about online mode and not just a rehash of already known information
I know this video is more than a few months old and some of it is out of date but i figure'd i'd add one you missed. If a griefer steals your horse, you can call it back through the stable menu. The horse will knock them off and come back to you. By default, the horse will do this anyways once the griefer gets a certain distance.. but if he decides to stick close to you or you catch him fast enough, the horse will buck him and you can finish him off in the time it takes to recover.

I always feel like first person, non-iron sights is the best for PVP since the sights always stay straight and not affected by fatigue. Using iron sights is awful in this game though
