God bless you Moe for caring so much. Your doing a great deed for other mix driver's. I was a mix truck operator for 18 years and I appreciate what your doing.
Appreciate your care and concern. I'm trying to get into concrete from asphalt dump truck driving. I just moved from East to West Coast. Culture shock. Love the videos
Hey Moe. Good video to remind us all about safety on the road. A few years ago out here on the 118, a concrete truck lost it's drum driving up an on ramp too fast. The on ramp is tight... more of a corkscrew shape...when he got to the top the drum came off but the truck stayed upright so he was ok too. Close call. I always give the big trucks room out on the road too. Especially concrete trucks..loaded they are pushing 50 or 60 000 lbs... They can't stop on a dime..All the best Moe.. Chris in Nova Scotia.
Big thank you from a Newb.... just finished my 2nd day. Looking forward to any and all info I can soak in. Driving a 2000 Oshkock S Series Tri-axle, front loaders. Has 1,135,xxx miles on it. POS but hey, it's mine ! Lol ! Looking for videos on how to work the joystick and buttons.
Lol I drove a pos front oshkosh, as soon as i was offered a new truck i got out of it. I did a front load control video but on a oshkosh. I have a terex video up also.
Moe you are correct about transport trucks being safer. They are typically heavier regulated, and majority of the time youll never take a semi where we take these mixers. Ive done both myself and you gotta be about crazy to drive these mixers.
Wow that truck is what we call a "Wake up". Job sites is one thing we have more control over but we at the mercy of the traffic on the road, We worry about it the company does also..be safe .
I’m no longer in the concrete biz (Ohio winters are brutal) but I enjoy the videos man. Keep em coming! Hopefully you find time to post some more but I know how them summers go in the concrete jungle
