Hell is not a place that God cannot reach, but rather, it is a place he had released his hold on. The people and creatures there have decided they do not need God, so God simply gave them what they wanted. Hell, contrary to popular belief, is not a merely a created punishment. Hell is death, eternal death. It is the eternal meaningless swirling counterpart to eternal life. People equate heaven to happiness, and though that is true, it is not only dopamine and pleasure. It is meaning. It is eternal meaning. To exact opposite of hell.

@KrobusTheShadow Yes, that's right. I didn't intend for him to be a murderer but meant to imply that he'd killed his family in some kind of accident where he was negligent e.g. a fire or drink driving.

The love shared between the different tenants was breathtaking. There to support each other through thick and thin. If only we could all find such a place.

Even though the warden has done something truly unforgivable. Its hard not to feel sorry for the poor guy. The place is clearly some bizarre amalgam of prison, appartment complex, and horrorific monster ridden hellscape combined to become the most twisted unescapable punishment chamber. And yet this isn't the worst place they can send someone??!! God have mercy on the poor soul that is considered absolutely vile enough to be sent there., because this place alone would scare most people onto the straight & narrow path of a good person.
I love this tale and hope to hear even more stories of this frightening place and it's enhabittents. 😅❤

@@Darksomnium From what we got from the TV scene I would guess he did something truely horrorible to them or did something that resulted in their deaths. Hence the 3 coffins that was shown. I'm pretty sure that was his dead wife berating him from beyond the grabe. Of coarse that's assuming anyone in that complex is actually alive and only not only the impression that they are. Although if the latter is the case Cerberus should be a dead giveaway of that, but the mind can convince people of anything if desperate enough to make some logical sense where there is none.
@@ZedMazaus480 Very interesting, insightful comment. And yes, the MC definitely killed his wife and 2 young daughters. We’ll never know how, or why. We are only privy to the ‘reformed’ MC, who is incredibly and *truly* sorry and regretful. Not because of his punishment, but because of the act.

My dad had a three and a half minute near death experience and it scared the hell out of him. Said he absolutely knew he was dead, it was pitch black darkness, silent excerpt the things he could hear scrambling past him and bumping into him.
He died 10 years later to the date and this time as he was slipping away, he was seeing light instead of darkness. Kept telling my mom the light was so bright could they switch off the light in the ceiling so she put her hand across his firehead to block out that light think that was it but he saud it was getting brighter and brighter and then he was gone.
I absolutely love these types of stories, you should narrate more of them. Great work as always

I FINALLY get to sit and enjoy this! I had an hour of free time earlier where my kiddo was occupado but I used that for Spanish lessons (I'm trying to put forth a little will power but that shit's hard sometimes 😂) I'm hoping this is related to your last narration of the killer inmate who had to spend a thousand lifetimes in that prison... such a good story

This story reminds me of a dream I had that was really similar. I was in charge of this weird apartment building full of people that wanted to hurt me and for some reason this story brings it back! Incredible narration as always 😊
I would to hear more about the warden and the apartment building tenants. This is an interesting story and set up. Dark SOMNIUM, you are amazing. You bring these stories to life.
This place seems similar to many nightmares I've had. Being in demonic places filled with crazy shit.
The writer definitely did a good job on making this hell feel real and threatening. Also the amazing music Somnium makes the story feel more scarier.
I get seasonal depression. So a world without sunlight would be the worst.

I always enjoy the stories about someone stuck in a hell like realm for the crimes they have committed it really brings out the authors ability to build a unique and interesting world

For a minute I thought this was an origin story about the Warden from " my friend's been living in an alternate reality" and " I'm a guard at a secret government prison".
DS, I'm curious... what made you get into narrating? Your voice is so perfect for it and I'm wondering if you took drama in school or is narrating just something you wanted to try?
i got into it as a way to share the music i make :) id done some acting when i was like 4 but i was a background character and never had any training or practive till i started my character
@@Darksomnium That's very interesting. You're very good at giving the characters personality. I'd like to give it a try the next time you need an extra. Even if my voice wasn't right for the part, it'd be a good opportunity to try something new.
This premise would make one hell of a television series, in my opinion.
All of these stories would tbh. I'm tired of haunted house stories dominating the horror genre in TV and movies

Ah hell for executive correction officers... well not for the regulars, just the higher officer's who truly deserve this kind of hell as they would arbitrarily & absentmindly make changes to the quality of the lives of ppl they have judged guilty (regardless of situations or lack convictions or trial in some cases)just to justify their salaries and show they aren't sleeping all day. They never have to interact or see the poor souls that face consequences of changing the soap for one cheaper (so they get praise and perks regardless of legality for saving that county money) that has a higher Lye content which creates permanent chemical burns in the unconvicted inmates. Confident that they wont face consequences bc its 5 dollars for an 8min phone call and they cant call any authorities while there to retaliate & acutely aware that most will repress the memories once the gate to the outside slams, bc it does not do well to remember.
This actually happened in a NY county jail btw, poor bastards came out scars ablazen and what it did to the black men was particularly horrific. Wasnt like alopecia, more like red and grey scars from infections from scratching.

Are there more stories like this? I know Woundlicker hasn't done anymore. These kind of claustrophobic, stuck in one area (I mean this is a building, but every place feels compact, even the basement), small space, atmospheric creepypastas? These are wonderful stories to fall asleep to and I've listened to dozens if not hundreds, but I've yet to find one mimicking this kind of formula. It's not dramatic, but it's a slow burn, single place, kind of heavy description story. Any others like it to recommend?
The line series is a side story of this story, no related characters though but the 2nd continuation takes place similar to this

I have been feeling like the world is different somehow. Like some people acts a bit different than they are used to. Colors seem a bit less colorful. The ocean seems a bit less blue.
Its just so odd to me that no one else is talking about it.
I have been more tired recently as well, for no apparent reason I would just fall asleep on the couch. Something feels off and I can't seem to put my finger on it and its slowly driving me crazy.

Always love to listen to your stories as I am going to sleep. But 15 mins into this one and I got an ad. Never had that with your channel before (usually ads at the start and end of the vid which are fine). I keep thinking where is the wife at? Because if she were in heaven she would be at peace right? Instead of having blood shot eyes and being all haggard and bitter, she should be at peace. So is she in a different part of hell? Or is she in purgatory? Or stuck somewhere else? Is she guilty by association?

I have a request for a story type for you to narrate. Something like a doppelgänger/skinwalker type of story
I always think of hell as an Eternal nightmare. A never ending torment of dream. I feel like once a person dies and did all bad deeds. He/she will be haunted for all eternity never waking up. And always experience it forever. And vise versa for a person who does good and have a good consciousness. A good dream of endless joy and pleasure befalls them.
