I am gobsmacked by the quality and quantity of work Nina has done. And she is so articulate about these issues. I learnt so much. Credit to you Gary for having her own for a long form conversation.
This is an outstandingly interesting and informative conversation. Prominent people of that era were not mentioned, probably in compliance with suppression orders. This sort of discussion could be useful to the new crop of potential victims if they heard it.
My ex partner is now serving time for assaulting my grandchildren. My biggest fear is he worked for a Disability Centre in Vic and I beleive with all my heart, this preditory behaviour was happening then, but have no proof and guess these poor people will never have a voice!
Great episode. I wonder if Nina has looked into the secret society / fraternal order aspect of these institutions and society in general. She already mentioned that very powerful people had jumped to the defence of the Facebook page defending abuse. Do those people belong to any specific order by chance? I suspect the same type of personalities (sometimes psychopaths) we see rise to the top in the government and corporate sector are truly introduced and taught coercive/control/abuse methods through these institutions as a matter of course on the road to becoming a 'powerful person'. This how they are trained to act in a cold and calculated manner, even if it does not come naturally to them.
Maybe one should ask themselves if witnessing such a scene as did the young American guy; if it was me lying there unconscious, would I be okay with this?? Simple really...

I survive.

I am so sorry! People are so evil!

I feel like even now the whole “coercive control” these government are putting in is just a smoke screen
Merry Christmas to the presenters.
Do you mean Merry?, as I won't be marrying over Christmas, haha!!
@anitakephart3851 thanks.. yes ha ha... I corrected it
If the boys involved had come from a different socio-economic status, suburb or culture the reporting would have been very different.
I was sexually assaulted as a litttle girl many times.
No one told me about your campaign.
It was happening in primary schools in hobart
Call me suspicious too.
I am in my 50s, and Qut has brought out self-training. I got it wrong. How would those of different languages comprehend?

The cathlic church
Goodness, her lisps together with the Australian accent was unberabale. Sorry.
It is unbearable not unberable.
She doesn't have a lisp.
This is an Australia channel, you know that right? Oh and thats not a lisp. I think she might just be too close to the mic....
What a strange and pathetic way to dismiss such an important conversation between two very impressive people.
