    I'm loving your boat and loving your show even more! No people passing by asking you what you're doing. You're fishing in virgin waters where no one has fished before. 😄
    What I can't believe is all the stuff you find in the waters. How can that stuff get so far from shore. I still can't believe how people pollute the water so much.
    You guys are doing a great job and making money and enjoying it too. AND...taking us along. 😄 ❤ Thank you!!

    Those are river anchors! I have a 20’ 1969 boat trailered in my yard and it’s not mine! My future son in laws boat that hasn’t moved in 2 years. It’s a really heavy old boat. Money pit would be a good name for it. I think you picked a perfect boat with an aluminum hull. They take a beating plus you could bass fish, using it it lakes and ponds, not really an ocean going vessel. It’s really nice and in excellent condition

    You actually found 3 anchors! That one with the flat bottom is an anchor as well , looks homemade but an anchor just the same. Can’t wait to see what it looks like cleaned up , maybe pressure was it when you take the boat to the car wash . Gotta take care of the boat after every deployment so the boat will take care of you! Cause all that rust will start tearing up that indoor out door carpeting. Wash at car wash then go to the vacuum they are wet vacs too, an vacuum
    the extra water an metal
    flakes up !

      If you pulled that cone top can from the mud, put it in a bucket of water, you'll have nothing but rust flakes when ya get home. When something comes from the "Oxygen" free mud, Oxy will start rusting stuff.

    One major item you Need to address is the rope abrasion on the outside of the boat gunwhales. My best advice would be to go to a metal supply outfit and get some lengths of 1+1/2 " aluminum angle material approx.1/4" thick, the length of boat and mount it on both sides. A mild expenditure for major protection for sides of boat and ropes aren't going to get frayed/worn on you!.

    There's probably a huge cable or pipe running from shore to shore near the bridge. you should get a "water" map of the area, it may have a warning to boaters "DO NOT DRAG ANHORS" in this area.

    To say your boat is a game changer might be an understatement, Captain Fisherman. I would bet your boy would like boat rides too.
    One thing though if I might add. It might not be a bad idea with wet ropes, heavy mags, and deeper water-plus two guys throwing, to wear your PFDs and don hard hats. If you got a liner for the hard hats it would keep you warmer too.
    Stay safe and happy hunting.

    I think those anchors usually have a piece of chain attached and then rope attached to the chain.....so there you go great stuff.

  • @marthamitchell9452
    @marthamitchell9452 Рік тому +2

    Nice finds today. When you get those anchors cleaned up to use take about 2’ of heavy chain, about the size links in the chain you found, and attach it to the eye of the anchor with either a clevis hook or quick link, and attach the rope to the other end. Be sure to use loctite on your connection. The chain will improve your anchoring. There’s a plate or sticker in the stern of your boat that will tell you the number of people and total weight your boat can safely carry. Don’t forget that you need to have wearable floatation devices available on deck as well as your throwable device. When you are starting your boat, especially in cold weather, there should be a manual choke lever on the engine and the flat lever on the starting and throttle unit is a high idle control. Lifting that can help you start the engine easier and quicker. I think all that is covered also in your boating exam for your USCG license to operate a boat with a motor more than 9hp. You don’t want to be stopped without that license. Happy boating!

      Do you work a "real job" in addition your UA-cam channels? The content creating and editing probably keeps you really busy.

    Anchors away. Add the chain to it, then you won't care if you lose it one day when using the anchors you found.

    That large hook part looks like i t goes to the part you had later. The part with the lage swivel and holes/ Looks like it was used on a crane.
