- Mmm, new toys! Today, we're not reacting to new music, but instead, unboxing my new Charvel Joe Duplantier Signature PRO-MOD SAN DIMAS Style 2 HH. I got it off Reverb, and so far, she's been playing great!
I plan on posting some Gojira covers -- they're my favorite band. What song would you like to hear first??!?

What is the neck profile?
Does it have any neck dive? I have the white joe duplantier signature model with the nato wood body and while i love that guitar to death, my only complaint is that the guitar is a little neck-heavy.
You know i have i cheep charvel desolation. I had to take the edges off the very square shouldered neck. I dont remember charvel necks being that squared off in the 80s. Gotta wonder what this neck is like

Hey man, what's your understanding of the difference between this model and the more expensive models? I think this one prices at like $899, but they can go up to $2,100.
The expensive models are made in USA this one is made in Mexico

how would you say this compares feel/sound-wise to a Les Paul? Just curious since it’s got the mahogany body, HH pickups, tuneomatic bridge, etc.

Is it a versatile guitar as far as the sound goes? I'd like to play some Tool and Opeth on it as well (I planned to preorder the Adam Jones signature model once it's out, but the prices are ridiculous).
Without a toneknob I'm not sure it'll be very versatile but it's absolutely a nice guitar. I've only played it once in a shop but that's about.
Are these pickups hard to chug with compared to hotter pickups? Wanting the fortitude in my next guitar, but I'm worried it'll be too low output. I just want something different than super hot pickups
well, joe uses THESE pickups with 5150 amps sooooo.....

Heard a few people talking about crap "out of the box"-setup of this guitar. How was it? Stright height? Frets? Btw, the guitar looks awsome, and seems like u have some awsome playing going on as well! Thanx for this video! Hope u can put out more videos from this soon! :)
viktorstorelv I had Sweetwater set mine up with 11-56 in d standard.
I chose to have mine setup by a local luthier. Out of the box I got some fret buzz on my low E. Otherwise it was alright. Plays like a dream after a proper setup though
I had no foam in my box but I had 2 boxes. They do have a case but it’s 199.00

Is it possible to play YJM's "echo etude" with this guitar? I mean you literally can't change the volume while you're playing notes!
This kind of guitar playing always make me think that the player trys to poke fun at heavy music :)

Yes, definitely still happy with her!! I don't think you'll regret it. Just know that she weighs a TON!

Maybe it's the camera angles, but the bridge pickup looks super high.

What's it weigh? I'm a stand up player and it makes a difference 😏 got a bathroom scale? I wouldn't think most would buy this guitar for metal... hmm
