I have one of these and I love it, mine is made in Indonesia. I wasn't in love with the pickups so I swapped them out for EMG Het-Set and now I am very happy with it ;)
I really like how you go through the guitar. I went to guitar shop this week, just to noodle totally different hard tails. I tried this model and I am really thinking of buying. It was comfortable in classical position.
@@GeorgeVGuitars I've played Ibanez RG, Talman, Les Pauls, some Schechters. But I only have one guitar now, and its Jackson Warrior X-series loaded with JB/Jazz set. I play rock, metal, jazzy improv. The shape is just so comfortable while in classical position.
@@oldmanshreds You are pretty versatile :> So is the Charvel. It is a combination of a lot of guitars. It has the bridge of an LP, scale length of a super strat, compound radius. I think you should definitely try one!
Great review ! It's good to see someone who explains everything in details I hesitate to buy it I'm just afraid that the black outline will fade over time
I have actually played the Fender Jim Root tele and it was one of the best guitars I have ever tried. I imagine the squier would be about the same quality as the Charvel. It really depends, do you prefer satin finish or gloss, are you a fan of slipknot or gojira. I personally would prefer the squier jim root, but that's just me.
So strange to see this in depth review contrasted with super amateur playing and if you’re talking about how easy it is to adjust the guitar maybe consider adjusting intonation. It’s hard to judge the tone of a guitar with such beginner level playing.
Mike, i got plenty of tuners around me, one of the best of them right next to me, seconds before recording ;) If something sounds out of tune in my videos it is due to a couple of reasons: 1. The intonation is off because I didn't have the chance to set it. Some of these guitars come and go for a couple of hours and I have to push it to demo them. Its not about playing its about the specs ;) 2. The action is too high and I am having a hard time pressing down 3. I demo a lot of guitars most of them with different string gauges and it is difficult to determine how hard to press down on each set without bending out of tune. 4. The Strings were probably changed a couple of hours before recording. This is not you playing your favourite guitar in your bedroom, this is me trying out different guitars almost every other day. 5. Make me! 🤣
This is one the most comprehensive reviews of this guitar you will find out there. Very good break down of the specs. Great job
Thank you, Byron. I will try to keep them coming :>

A het set in one of these sounds interesting! 👀
i love the Duncan Designed they sound fuller and warmer than USA Seymour Duncans
sounds fantastic. you sold me on buying one. thanks for demoing the guitar.
Let me know how you like it, when you get yours 🖤
did you get it?

Lauri, thank you. What brand and shape of guitars have you played, preferred up until now?

It's a beauty.
Fuck yeah I’m sold! Been looking for a guitar to pair with my Jim Root Tele for recording purposes and this seems like the perfect one 🤘
Oh man, I love the Jim Root Tele. I will try to review one soon.
I want one of these
Go for it, Donny. These are definitely worth the money!
Thx George ❤

great review
Thank you, I am glad you liked it.
Nice review and teardown. How heavy is it? Its seems to be the one spec thats missing from a lot of guitars nowadays
Yeah, I bought a scale just after that guitar 🤣 I think it was around 8 pounds

May I ask if it will work well with D tuning and drop C, using appropriate string gauge?
Yes it will
Great review dude, is that include the case ?
Thank you, no the case was bought seperately

What pedal did you use for the ‘Gojira’sound?

Would you recommend this over the Jim root squier tele?

Whered you get your strap buttons?
In the store I work in. But they are available online as well

@ thanks.
Hi brother, where can I get the case, I have the same guitar.
I think thats just a regular case from thomann.de Any ractangular case for strat/tele type of guitar would work.
@Zdravko Pernikov is the owner, he knows best. I didnt include the case in the review, because it doesn't come with the guitar.
How much does this weigh?
I don't know, I didn't have a scale yet back then. Probably around 7-8 pounds.
Still worth it at 699.99 in 2023?
Yeah it is a good guitar and all prices went up.
Those mounting rings absolutely ruin the guitar for me. It makes it look really cheap.
It is an affordable guitar 😳 But you can take them off I guess.

Not in tune
