Nice green! This was a good Inkvent day. I'm sure it has been a challenge to get all this excellent content out, but I'm already hoping you'll do it again next year - it's been such a fun part of advent 😊🌲
Thank you! Inkmas has been really fun haha. I don't know if I will buy Colorverse again next year...but Diamine yes! Maybe there will be another company brand that will do an advent!
Oh this is stunning! Reminds me a bit of Sugar Snap's base colour from last year's Diamine Inkvent and also Nahvalur's Dark Forest from their Explorer line!
You know me and greens haha. It is a great green but I think it would've been so cool to see a sheen or even a colorful shimmer with this one to make it "wow." So far the black is the only one that had me going "whoa!" haha
I'm so glad you do the comparison swatches. I loved this ink but it definitely looked a lot like Private Reserve Avocado which I have a full bottle of. No need to get a bottle of this, but it does make me want to ink up Avocado for next month.
I'm so torn on this calendar so far on one hand every day I open it and am a bit let down by how basic most of it has been and have been really impressed with now unique the Diamine has been but after swatching both of them I usually end up thinking I'd probably actually use most of the Colorvent ones in daily writing. Very weird product honestly. As a festive calendar it feels like a bit of a failure but for getting useable every day ink it's been very good. Maybe if it were 40 bucks cheaper or so it'd be easier to swallow.
I have the same thoughts! I think a lot of the inks are great standards, but for a holiday calendar and the price, I feel we should have gotten more shimmers/shaders or even some more LEGIBLE writing colors. I think the light colors they included are only usable for artistry.
A good day doesn't take back that three blue sheening red is bad product design. The things that stink about how they did this don't unstink just because they unstunk some but marketing departments absolutely depend on this "overall" good-washing through happy wrap up to maximize their profit from repeat customers. This calendar wasn't a good enough price to excuse that blueness and how dupeable the other colors have been. Like... if had been green or red heavy that could have fit the season, but this is COLORverse, which is very arty creative brand. And they could have just told us it was an office vibe. I'll be interested in seeing which colors they believe are the ones great enough to be permanent because so far only that black rates for me. (Sorry, I used to be in marketing before being disabled. I hope they continue these, I just also know they'll survive longer as a niche product creator in hard financial times if they don't use these mass market level customer manipulation techniques that burn out quality customers.)
You know what, you have a good point from a fellow marketing degree ink lover. They really did that BUT the second half of the box is the best half by far. It's going to be a hard choice to repurchase next year especially at that price point.
I love your breakdown of this. I'm not super informed on mass marketing but I can agree that the "happy" ending to wash out the rough start is a manipulative tactic. I am excited to finish the calendar but I don't think I would repurchase next year unless they drop the price by at least $50.
"I'm screaming, I'm crying, I'm throwing up." 🤣 Best line so far in all your swatchings. Heehee
Hahahah I was really excited to see a green! ❤️️❤️️
@ I’m with you, this calendar has been the blue and purple Colorvent show for most of the pkg, so this green is way out there. Glad to see it too!
I love this color 🎉🎉🎉 Woohoo!!!
Omgoshies 🎉 I love this green 💚 This was a good day! 😊

Yay... a good ink 😄 and it's GREEN!! woo hoo
Yes!! I'm so happy to have at least one green in here. And it is a nice legible one too.
This color looks beautiful. I like it. 💚
Yes me too!!
Oh, we are still tracking our responses to this calendar in parallel! I agree, it was great to have a green here.
Yes!! It's a really nice one too.

Great comparisons!! Thank you for sharing!
It's beautiful, I'm happy with it, but again, I'm looking for the wow, that proprietary ink like yesterday. So glad you were pleased with it though!!

@mydandeliondiaries red shimmer! 🤣

I am so glad you like the comparison swatches! Avocacdo is almost an exact dupe haha, and it is a great ink for a much better price in my opinion!
I wonder if i actually love this color or if I'm just so relieved!!!😅
Hahahaha the mixed emotions are so real! I think todays inks (Diamine/Colorverse) are great Christmas colors!
Glad you are feeling better about the advent. This color looks so lush! I am now wondering which ones will be voted to be on sale as bottles 🤔
Agreed! I feel a bit more hope again for the rest of the days. Todays inks for Diamine and Colorverse are very on theme for the holidays haha

You didn’t look up the best image of the ink’s namesake, it is actually in the shape of a Christmas tree.
Oh cool! I just did a super quick google search and picked the first image haha.
ooooo such a pretty green!!!
Robert Oster - Hemp
Monteverde - Malachite
Private Reserve - Avocado

Nah- nothing innovative, surprising or special. For the price every day should wow you!
I am hoping the next days will be a bit more "wow" for sure! I am happy with a green though, it is my favorite color :)
This looks very average and boring to me... I feel like there are many similar shades of green out there already... Very meh...
It is not "exciting" in terms of what I think a Holiday Advent would be, BUT it is at least a great standard darker green that I will use haha.
