I saw this in 1988 on Creature Feature hosted by the wonderful Dr. Paul Bearer out of St. Petersburg, Florida. I lived a year in Clearwater, Florida & watched him every Saturday Afternoon. I had just turned eight years old & he introduced me to movies like BUG & SLITHIS. Oh Wowie Zowie do I miss him🩵
I particularly remember seeing this movie during its initial theatrical release because my father and I were in Florida on a vacation, and he wanted to go to the movies one night, so we went to see this, as he had read the original book it was based on, The Hephaestus Plague. I really enjoyed it, especially when the so underrated Dillman starts to communicate with the bugs. A very intelligent science fiction film that would make a good double feature with Phase IV.
