I really enjoyed this show. Different, alternative take on the concept of watchmen but for a tv show format I think this did very well. There’s these little nuances between the characters, story beats and themes that stood out to me. Might have to rewatch this show again.

All of the people saying they didn't like the show because it had a black Dr. Manhattan definitely didn't watch the show and don't know this is a sequel to the original Watchmen story and Dr. Manhattan is only using his powers to disguise himself as a Black man. It's kind of cringe how people are just showing their racism to the extent of lying about having seen something they clearly haven't.
Nah, the show would have been fine if it left Dr Manhattan out of the show. His inclusion completely conflicted with the original characters desire to leave earth. Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, or any other group of people.... the character of Dr Manhattan should not have been included in this show.

Dr. Manhattan is the most complex character for me as a Marvel Comics fan, He is just fantastico!!! He is one of most amazing comic book characters ever created with Raven, Lobo, Storm, Franklin Richards, to name a few.
I know many hardcore Watchmen fans (many of whom kinda liked the 2009 movie but also many didn't like it). But all of them hate the series. So no, it's not about the view, the show is just trash.
I didn'tond the show at all. I think the when we see Dr Manhattan finally it's the fact that we don't see a luminous glow from him. He's weirdly lit up when he's awaken but not glowing, yet he was glowing when Angela removed the ring from his head. I think it might just be a mishandled post editing
Dr. Manhattan's makeup is horrible, he looks like a guy with blue body paint... well, because that's what they did, cheap production... he looks like a member of the "blue man group". At least the one in the movie made him seem like an "almighty mystical" being.😂😂😂😂
True but I kind of thought it was the dicreationary look they were going for in the show under the cicumstances, yeah if that was his actual look an not a disguise do to the roll of the character was playing in that particular scene so I thought!!! But yeah 🤔

I liked the show and really like Yahya as an actor but there version of Manhattan looks really goofy. The lack of light makes him look like a Blue man group reject. And the human eyes are really creepy.
This show started getting so pretentious after the ~first third, I wanted to drop it, but I decided to continue watching it as a comedy and didn't regret - by the end it gotten straight up hilarious.
So you can blur out a cigarette but not any of this ? Am i living in like the antiverse of the old world or something... Im legit wondering what happened in the ether
It's just a guy. It's weirder that he'd choose to reform as a muscular, statuesque being, but that's because that's how was drawn in the comics, which worked because they're comics
This season pretty much covers everything that happens after the comic and there wouldn’t be any point of a season 2 because it all came together perfectly
I literally laughed when DC came with a story where Superman defeated Dr. Manhattan, sounded illogical to me. I think even Spectre should be under him in the power ranking in DC. Spectre is actually a completely boring character, he should be phased off from the DC Comics.
