Saw three showcases so far and one thing he has a issue is that he is still squishy and killable, but that’s if you go second and I imagine not everyone has zeldris built up along with competing with whales who have above 240k CC

U should have him just to have him unless u grinding DK event and Super awaking characters then its always good to LR. I got over 150 coin the event hasn't even started on global also have all LRs and multiple super awaken characters around 8 or so. U deff get enough coins till the next LR comes the coins are more common now cuz of the new awaken system
with the current system for LR seals you can upgrade him to LR and still get enough seals for the next LR. so the answer is yes it's worth to upgrade
You should run zeldris gelda monspeet so automatic debuffs for zeldris
