I’m having trouble keeping the temps stabilized. It goes all the way up to 300 and down to 200. I have it set to 250 and using small splits. Same setup almost.
No way!!!! I swear I have been thinking about this for so long. The reason I don’t have a pellet grill is because where the heat comes from. I have a old country Brazos. If I buy just the pellet hopper assembly does it come with the chain? How do I get the chain if not?
I want to purchase. I notice that it is unavailable right now. When will you have more available? I actually live in South Texas, so I can actually go up to Austin to pick up unit myself.
It appears one of your videos looks like a 12” pellet pro (fire management video )and this one looks like a 18. I like the idea of the hopper closer with the 12” if heat isn’t an issue. Is it available both ways? Or have you had issues with the hopper being to close ? Thx awesome idea
The DIY kit is 18" to make sure clearance isn't an issue. It can be used with many different offsets. I have used the 12" with the Brazos and Pecos with no heat issues, but I did have to modify the wheels. No problem at all making the 12" if your specific offset can accommodate. Hope that helps! do you mount the RTD probe anywhere in the smoker itself? in theory if you had the RTD in say the middle you could run it as pellet asset or fully pellet.
It should work just fine. I am using it with a 40" pit and 20" diameter. I'm considering doing a large commercial style offset smoker linking 2 pellet hopper assemblies with one controller.

Yes! This system will work with the Wrangler. I normally like using this system with a longer smoker like the Brazos or Pecos, but it can work on a Wrangler as well. All the best!

What is the largest pit you can use this with? i have a trailer pit that is about 48" and 24 diameter. Would this work?
