Olympic Torch Relay Ashington Northumberland Day 28 HD Footage.

Olympic Torch passing through Ashington Northumberland,Day 28.Through Town Centre then passed Asda and returned from Newbiggin via Newbiggin Road, North Seaton...Sorry about the shaky camera,i had camera and video in each hand.
Although the weather was a taste of Winter,1000's still lined the street's for this "Once in a lifetime" occasion.A good day for Ashington.

How great to see this from a different angle as i've been watching this live on BBC's website...great to see Ashington again, My grandma would love to have seen this happening. I have many fond memories of summer holidays spent in Hirst Park playing in the paddling pool & also playing with cousins on the beach down in Newbiggin. Love to you all From down here in Worcestershire xxx

Thanks for the kind words.I also have good memories from those days in paddling pool and Hirst Park playing fields.Lived close to the flower park all my life apart from 5 years when in Forces.Also fish from Newbiggin.So hi from Ashington and i hope you and your family enjoy the Olympic's......take care.

hi there, great footage. i have the footage of the man who started it at newbiggin and passed at north seaton..... would you be interested in linking the videos, i can arrange somehow to put this on a cd and you can edit it if i can be put in the end credits. just a thought. i used the latest samsung galaxy s3 and it is crystal clear quality.
