Well this is the next day. I didn't comment yesterday as I saw this one on my TV. So I'm watching again this morning and just wanted to say that as always I enjoyed your video and really appreciate the camera work to bring us along. I commented to Eva last night on Instagram. I told her how I've grown so close to y'all over the years, that I have a lot of memories from your videos, like the great way you fixed your Samsung washing machine, and the day Levi and Hunter were walking the trails, Hunter way ahead, laughing out loud, leading Levi to the brick house, walked in and had Kate fix him a Coke and a sandwich! Oh so many more memories too, my point was how close to y'all I've become over the years. Your channel has been my #1 favorite for at least 3 years now. I can't thank you enough! See ya later Mike, have a day!👍🚜❤🙏Eva🙏
You have alot of plowing on your plate. I have a very long driveway and large parking area that I plow wth a Mahindra 1538. A few years ago I added a bucket mounted plow blade and use a back blade. They work great together. It cut my plowing time in half as opposed to just using the bucket. You could probably use something like that on the Mx5400. I do not have a heated cab so I'm jealous. I must admit my neighbor helps me once in a while with his large front end loader with a very large articulated blade. I always look forward to a good snowfall, I enjoy plowing snow as I see you do. Keep up the good work. It is so great to see Eva is doing better and in good spirits.
I have a 50 hp orange tractor with cab and 6 foot rear snowblower. I have been using this set up since winter of 2010-2011. Very happy and would not change. Heat, defrost, radio, lights, etc make it very comfortable. I have a long driveway and a very large yard with outbuildings, stonewalls, fruit trees….no problem with a 28inch storm in Feb 2013 or the 33 inch storm in Dec 2019. The only drawback (and a minor one) is that it takes the same time wether it is a 4 inch storm or a 10 inch storm unless it is dripping wet. Today it was 5 inches of wet slop and blower plugged several times in 3 hours. When we get a storm of greater than 12 inches it takes two days and almost 11 gallons of diesel to do a total cleanup. Keeps me busy and out of trouble. I like watching snow removal almost as much as wood splitting!!
Heavy snow missed us in eastern PA ... 2 inches then rained ... was ready with my small plow on the Craftsman ( picked up a used one for $30 and then $40 for new chains).. driveway is only 40 ft long with 4 parking spaces, but I help my neighbors too ... only had to push a little at the street from the road plows and put the tractor back in the shed for another day ... we're just below the Rt 78 Snow/Rain region so the storms often miss us .... glad the equipment worked out Mike, and the heated cab on the MX5400 is a blessing in that weather ... and the rear blade looks like it works well on stone
Mike Ames from Idaho and welcome to some of my winter! I have been a big fan for 4 or 5 years and I try to always to hit the like button as soon ass possible and thank you guys for being true to your program.
Messick s is worth the ride. I wish I could meet up with you, but the work thing gets in the way. I am just glad now I can drive my tractor there for service if I need it. I am looking forward to when it is fully stocked with everything. Last time I was in shelves for all the little things were not in. I live in town and was very happy to hear they were moving closer. It was a dream come true. The other one to check out is Wengers of myerstown Pa. They have a lot of tractor parts, tires and various equipment. Thanks for reminding me of how deep the snow can get. Already looking forward to spring. Hope your week goes well and have a safe trip down.
Yes old man winter came in kicking! Received 22 inches of snow took my 2 hours to snow blow my driveway and 2 of the neighbors. I am here in Northwest Pa by Lake Erie. We had several township and Penndot trucks get stuck in the snow. I hate to see them on the news . Still waiting for the plow to go by house. Stay safe and warm! God bless!
It's great to have neighbors like you folks. When I lived in the not-so-great state of ILL-ANNOY, I had a wonderful neighbor very similar to the Morgans, they would plow my driveway and several of the other neighbors when we would get quite a bit of snow. Just good people like yourselves make up the majority of this wonderful country. How lucky we are to have been born in the USA. Thank you for your channel. I'm in semi warm Florida, 65 degrees and I enjoy watching the snow being plowed. Watching is the key word. lolol
I work at a healthcare facility. They have several plow trucks and several Kubota full cab Side X Sides with Salt Dogg spreaders on the back. The Kubota's do surprisingly well moving the snow and the spreaders could not work any better. The Kubota's are excellent where the trucks have issues with limited room. They are great at sidewalks. Many of us spent 12 hr. + plowing last night. No matter what you are pushing snow with after 12 hours , your glad to get out of it and take a nap.
Good evening everyone, 39º in Kansas City. I believe my guess on Saturday was 9”, Tropical Tidbits seems to have the best free forecast modeling. Stay safe, be humble & kind and have a day. 251k
I just spent 2 hours plowing office and our land and about 2 - 1 hour sessions with kubota front mount blower cleaning up our house now I’m watching you plow. This is better. Lol
We got just under 14 inches!, I'm ready to move south!, lololo!. There was a layer of ice underneath and that things bad on the hill!. Morgans good day!.
That’s a bit of snow. We are out here in Utah and don’t have any in the valley. Maybe you could get Jon Ritter to stop by with his snowblower, haha. Good to see you guys got snow. Have fun with that.
18" of snow here in NE Ohio. Thankfully the Kubota RTV-X1140 I ordered showed up Friday with a plow. It was amazing how well it worked! Super grateful to have this machine
Here in Eastern Iowa we got 8 inches last Fri/Sat. Tonight I watched a 10 point buck casually stroll through my back yard illuminated by the rising full moon.
@@oldmanfred8676 Hi OMF HOW HAVE YOU AN THE MISS PRAY ALL, ARE IN GOOD HEALTH IM AM WELL MOMMA MADE SPAGGTTIE AN AS LONG AS THE BIG FLUFFY STUFF STAYS NORTH ILL SURVIVE LOL LATER TATER
We ended up with about 4 inches of heavy slush here in Perry County. I used the side by side to plow and final cleanup with the Kubota. I waxed the plow blade this time and it made the snow roll off better. I'm always learning ...Hope to see you and Melissa in Mt Joy!
Thats a Big Change In The Landscape with the 8 in of Snow!! I always hated to plow gravel or stone driveways Throwing the gravel and stone on grass makes for a lot of raking!! 😀👍👊
Good afternoon!! Upper 30’s F (3-4C) and sunny here now. I’m hoping the darker spots melt some today and a lot more tomorrow. Right now, though, we could ice skate on the crust. There’s not enough snow under it to break the crust when we walk on it. A colleague of mine solved his blade cutting into his gravel roads by putting a piece of pipe on the cutter bar - cut a slot just wide enough to fit over the blade and figured some way to clamp it on. That pipe just rides on top of the gravel. I might do that myself - I have a piece of scrap pipe and the neighbor has a plasma cutter. Howdy Hunter! Good to see Eva on MOTL!
We got about 5 inches then it turned to rain about 10:00 and warmed up. Turned to slush. Now it’s freezing up. I was able to do a few neighbors homes before the rain
Love that you call them weather guessers! Used to call them that back in the 80's and 90's when I was building houses. Definitely couldn't plan a building schedule around their "forecasts". Keep up the great work, love your channel.
Gotta love how Penn dot puts more snow at the end of your driveway. We didnt get quite as much as you. Maybe 5 inches. It rained some and then freezing rain and then snow. At least the conditions were horrible on my way to work 😄 I honestly don't mind driving in the snow, I mind other people driving next to me in the snow.
Wow yall got lucky!! You can share that with us from Sardis City, Alabama. We got sleet and rain out of that storm. It did snow but the ground was way to warm. Stay safe up there...
Glad you're having fun plowing, Mike, and all you other guys in the comments. I live in the UK and only ocassionally get snow and rarely more than 2 or 3 inches, but personally i would be happy to never see another snowflake, EVER!
Here too. We got our predicted 6" here in Upstate South Carolina. Nice work Mike. Great to see Hunter. Brandon looks cold with snow on his head. Have a blessed day.
Hello Mike, nice little dumping of snow! I'm from Holland Centre, Ontario, Canada (about 4 hours north of Toronto). Well versed in moving snow! Mind you, just our luck that recent storm that hit you, missed us. Might have a helpful comment about moving snow with a rear blade, perhaps try turning the blade around and drag it that way. Have to be careful pushing snow backwards because you will dig up grass but I drag mine that way and works great. I do have a blower and use it most of the time. Good luck.
Typically you'll be in 4WD plowing like that anyways, but the side by sides do pretty well in the snow like that as they're wider, longer, and heavier than an ATV...they'll still spin tires if you aren't careful, but they'll plow deeper snow pretty well before you need to throw chains....also you can add some additional weight to the bed to help with traction as well.
They typically work pretty well, if you keep up with it. If it gets too deep you'll have issues of course with traction, but they handle snow removal duties pretty well.
Something so soothing about snow rolling up at 11:00. I have a 1/2 mile long gravel drive. I would not scrape it but I am afraid one of my neighbors will try to "help me" by doing a gravel relocation program and scraping to the dirt.
Glad you have the cab on one of the tractors, makes it a lot easier to stay out there longer. Stay safe in the snow and keep up the great videos. You need to make a hoodie for the flintlock , sure helps keep the powder dry. SOMETIMES ;-) Fred.
So, if you would have told me that while I'm drinking my first cup of coffee in the morning I would enjoy watching a man plow his driveway, I would have said, "What are you crazy." 😂 Holy Cow, I love watching Mike drive his Kubota's around clearing the snow from his & his neighbors houses. Thanks Mike, Great Videos! P.S. I Hope Eva is feeling better! Take care.
Hi Mike, here in Western NC, Hendersonville, we got 11 inches, that’s a big snow for us. I use a JD 1025R with 60 inch snow plow and 60 in rear blade to clear subdivision and driveways. My next attachment will be snowplow for the side by side.
Enjoyed the beautiful pictures of the snow, I miss the winters growing up in Somerset County, Pa. Really nice of you doing the neighbors and family driveways for them I'm sure they appreciate it too. Great job 👍plus you get to play with your toys😀
Mike, you might want to look into a snowblower for your BX. I bought one for my BX22 ~10 years ago. Works much better (IMO) on gravel than a blade because I can get it to suck the snow up without tossing my gravel, and once I have the height set I can pretty much forget it. The electric chute makes it a treat to run. I have 13 driveways and ~1/4mile of road to take care of. All told about 4-5hours for 8 inches of snow.
I have a snow blower for my lawn tractor....it sucks up snow, rocks, dirt, sand, LOL. I took a piece of steel pipe and cut a slot in it to slide over the cutting edge of the blower, it helped a lot, now I just need to make some wider skid shoes so it doesn't drop down into the gravel...first and sometimes 2nd snow falls the driveway hasn't froze up enough to keep the skid shoes from sinking into the gravel. The pipe helped a lot, but it'll still sink in a bit if I'm not careful.
@@wildbill23c when I 1st got my SB I sucked a lot of gravel off my driveway (& broke a bunch of shear pins). It takes some fiddling but once you get the height set for that particular snowfall, you just leave it be. Every snowfall is different and you'll need to adjust accordingly, but once you've found that "happy spot" you can run without sucking up gravel and just the snow Heavy wet snow is the worst (you need a slower feed, and higher ground clearance. ) powder is easy peasy, 1/2" above the gravel and listen for bits of gravel, when you hear it, slow down a skosh. 4 geavel driveways ranging from crush-n-run to pea gravel (🙄 she likes it because it looks nice 😣). My drive is ~125ft x 12ft of 3/4" Seneca stone. Looks good, packed tight, and snow sucks right off of it.
One thing I miss after selling my property is snowplowing. We didn’t get much in Southern Ohio, but we had a 1/4 mi long driveway I plowed with a 4’ blade attached to a Honda 4514. So satisfying to see a freshly plowed driveway when I was done. 😁
Good evening Morgans and friends. Glad you got your snow, and yes they were right we just got a dusting thankfully. Ready for spring weather here. We've been getting freezing rain the last several hours. It was great seeing Hunter. Thanks and have a great safe evening
I have a larger 20 HP cub cadet with a 45 inch snowblower in my garage and was not feeling real good this morning and looked out and there was my neighbor on a mid size john deere and his son on a 4x4 plowing out me. I am very grateful for their act of kindness.
The “Guessers” hit a bullseye! Your plowing videos with this much snow are fun and satisfying to watch!! Looking forward to your Mom’s and sister’s drive…you can’t beat the warm enclosed cab of your tractor. Will you be adding some corn to your deer feeders soon?
I still dont have a tractor yet. But we got about 4 inches in Buckner Missouri. My Susuki Eiger 400 plows my 600 feet of driveways quickly. But I need to buy driveway stick markers. I have a lot of curves. In the spring I may be raking some gravel.

Breaks my heart watching the limestone go with the snow into the yard, my driveway is almost a 1/2 mile limestone, I know the pain. LOL
Good evening Morgans and friends. Glad you got your snow, and yes they were right we just got a dusting thankfully. Ready for spring weather here. We've been getting freezing rain the last several hours. It was great seeing Hunter. Thanks and have a great safe evening
Good evening friend :-) we are supposed to be getting about 16 to as much as 20 something inches up here in Montreal :-0

In Mt. Washington, we got about 9 inches of snow. Grandview Ave is wet, but all the other streets are still covered.
💥 Now you’re having fun! Looks like perfect snowman snow. Bigfoot could use a friend (hint hint) ☃️
*Keep on tractoring!* 👍
Still kinda fluffy...But wait!!! ....freezing rain coming!
@@JohnSmith-tv5ep Ahh, perfect a frozen man at that point rather than a snowman LOL.
A nome
I said 11 inches, still praying for Hunter and Eva and the family, have a day
I have a larger 20 HP cub cadet with a 45 inch snowblower in my garage and was not feeling real good this morning and looked out and there was my neighbor on a mid size john deere and his son on a 4x4 plowing out me. I am very grateful for their act of kindness.
I'm a Florida boy. The snow looks pretty, but you can keep it.
Smart move using the big tractor, better to keep warm if you can.
Good to see you Hunter.
Mike I use edge tammers for the front bucket along with the back blade. Works great!!!
Where's that skid steer!! You will like it for plowing snow.
I still dont have a tractor yet. But we got about 4 inches in Buckner Missouri. My Susuki Eiger 400 plows my 600 feet of driveways quickly. But I need to buy driveway stick markers. I have a lot of curves. In the spring I may be raking some gravel.
