Enjoy our Bushcraft trip into the Woods of Germany! In this video I Setup my new Polish Lavvu tent for the first time and do it without a pole in the tent. Ben is so excited that he can’t quit sitting on the Lavvu while Alli is working with it ! 🤣 🐾 Crazy dog! 🤩 We used our Bushbox to heat the water for our coffee and enjoyed our relaxed stay in this beautiful forest! Wonderful! 😋

It's inside out. I worked with Polish soldiers who still did basic training with this equipment in the 90s. The storm flaps, or arm holes will let in rain this way. If you examine the bottom of of the arm hole you will find that the seam is left open to allow any rain that is blown in to the storm flap to drain down the outside of the canvas. The way you have this set up the rain easily enters the arm hole and drains inside the tent. It's a lovely tent. I have had mine over six years now and it's still as good as the day I got it.

Hi, say a real good job at setting up the lavvu. I liked it that you first put up a ridge line and then set up a adjustable taunt line hitch to adjust the height of the peak and everything worked out pretty well like the length on the sides. That’s a brilliant way to set this up.

Another peaceful relaxing video Alli. I’m a big fan of the polish lavvu which is great because being canvas, it won’t burn holes from the embers of a fire like nylon will! The traditional kerosene lantern adds the perfect touch to the camp setup! It’s always a joy to see you and Ben in your videos and as always thanks for sharing! 👍🙏👌

You can place this Polish tent lower, at a greater angle. It won't be as high, but you can pull it out more comfortably. Like in this video: "Lavvu" - Polish canvas tent - these pitches will give U better protection. Pałatka i peleryna.
The same goes for the entire tent. You'll just need something else to cover the entrance hole if you want to close it completely.

However... You set up your Lavvu inside out. The large shoulder flaps Always go to the inside when used as a shelter or as a poncho. If it had rained, water would have seeped in from the seams and the arm holes.
